Comments about Deering Goodtime 6- String Banjo:

I purchased a Deering Jumbo Six which is exactly like the this one here, only not advertised by GC..
..the only difference is the head is 1" larger at 12" instead of the 11" you get with this one here..
..this a well made instrument, made here in America in San Diego CA.. the people down there are
awesome, and willing to discuss the "set-up" before they ship it to your local Guitar Center. I had
mine set up with the KAVANJO PICK-UP in the head, @ a reasonable mark-up, but well worth it.. trying to
amplify a banjo to compete with guitars is darn near impossible! the KAVANJO amplifies in a way that you don't lose that banjo "twang" in the process.. I play mine thru a Fishman Loud Box Artist amp and get a
real acoustic banjo sound.. HOWEVER.. this banjo is loud enough to stay up with the guitars in a smaller
venue.. I've been playing guitar for 50+ years, and now can play a banjo sound with a minimal learning
    curve..
