Tried a bunch of guitars today; And this bad boy just blew them all out of the water. It has great highs and lows...is very loud even unamplified. Plugged in sounds great. Tried against Seagull, Breedlove, and some others. To my ear sounded vastly superior. Bought and brought home. Great looking too.

2 issues: 1. made in China. 2. No case. But the bottom line for me was the Sound.

I asked them to check the guitar because I just sent one back for not intonated and fret buzzzzzzzzz. They said" guitar Center" we cannot check them they are set up and ready to go from factory no need to check them. And what happend again. Another guitar from GC with bad intonation. Only 150$ more than the Hummingbird Pro Epiphone. I went up in money in hopes this guitar would be perfect after being assured there would be not problem. And hardly any clear coat. Get ready to scratch the living stuffing out of this guitar. The sound is good, feel is good but I cannot get over the fact the you cannot get a good guitar online from GC without purchasing from the store and you being there to play the thing so these "Proffesional" salesman/women who probably dont even play guitar. "oh! its set up at factory no need to check it for anything like
does it work fully and properly. REALLY CHECK THE DANG THINGS THEY ARE NOT MADE IN USA. Their lack of quality control rolls off their back and onto GC's lack of quality control.
Last guitar i buy from GC. Check your products Salespeople.

Comments about D'Angelico Premiere Riverside Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Amazing guitar for the price! Not so cheap but a great investment. I was looking for a nice replacement to my last acoustic I had a big baby Taylor and recently got it stolen which really sucks and even though I love Taylor guitars I was really interested in this D'angelico because I played it in store and just had to buy it it sounded amazing and could definitely hold its own against big names like Taylor and Martin and Seagull, more than anything the brown laminated Mahogony finish on this guitar was the biggest selling point along with the unbelievable sound it could produce! It's gonna last a long time and will continue to make me and people around it smile when it's played don't think about it too much check out D'angelico's website for the specs on this riverside and then come back to this website and get yourself this beauty you won't regret it

I have a DRS one Martin was going to buy a second one for a alternative tuning saw this one really liked the way it looked. After playing it I won't say it sounds as good as my Martin but real close and plays just as good as my Martin really easy on the fingers real comfortable neck and the Cutaway doesn't seem to take anything away from the fullness of the sound will probably definitely buy another one if not the Riverside maybe one of the other series!!!

Went into the store looking for a completely different guitar and I was very intrigued by this guitar. Eventually after flaying with the others i decided to pick this one up. I was instantly amazed by the sound. I played with a Martin that was twice the price and liked this one way better. I am so happy I found this at the price range!

Comments about D'Angelico Premiere Riverside Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Im switching from hard rock back to acoustic. I bought this as the change over. I have other acoustics but wanted a more tasty looking guitar and this D'Angelico is very nice guitar. Had trouble with my 3rd guitar shipped. It was not intonated and would not stay in tune at ALL. Sent it back (my first was Hummingbird pro, same issue, sent it back). On this one I specifically asked GC to check the guitar for intonation and fret buzzing. They sent me videos of the "noted 12th and harmonics at 12th" to ease my worry. They shipped my 2nd D'Angelico soon as I gave them thumbs up. I shipped my 1st Riverside back same day(UPS lost package in Kansas from Texas), but GC did help make things right. Thank you Mike extension 2789 GC support.

Comments about D'Angelico Premiere Riverside Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

First of all, the picture doesn't do this guitar justice. The satin finish is great! I didn't have to do anything but tune it up. Set-up out of the box was spot on. No buzzing frets and nice, low action. The voice is clear and crisp with plenty of sustain.
I've never owned a D'Angelica guitar until now. I've always played Gibson, Fender, Guild and Rickenbacker and I have to say, this guitar can hold its own. For the price, it's a gem! I'm taking a second look at the D'Angelica 12 string.

Comments about D'Angelico Premiere Riverside Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been looking for a backup Acoustic/Electric with a satin finish for use as a Worship Leader and a band that tunes down half step for most of its music. During President's Day weekend sale I played every guitar that was on sale, but my intention was to buy the Martin X series. I initially bought the Martin, but did enjoy the D'Angelico Premier. After a couple of days of playing the Martin it fell out of favor with me. The tone is so rich it moves toward muddy. The D'Angelico is a bit brighter but still has a richer tone than the Breedlove and Alvarez guitars I played. I talked to a friend at church about buying the Martin and he mentioned how much he liked the D'Angelico before I even brought it up. That evening I packed up the Martin and went back to the store with my wife to get her opinion too. I played all the guitar on sale for her too and she agreed that the D'Angelico was the best. Not to mention the electronics on the D'Angelico are better and include a tuner. I just hope the obnoxious headstock grows on me. I give this guitar only four stars because of the fact that it's not a perfect guitar, both in tonality and esthetics. Have I mentioned the headstock?
