Comments about D'Angelico Premier Series SS Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Stairstep Tailpiece:

This guitar really brings the traditional D'Angelico aesthetic into a well rounded electric guitar. Love the tone and the feel, the D'Angelico humbuckers have a great full bodied tone...pleasantly surprised.

Great guitar...now. Delivered with intonation completely out of whack, but Guitar Center techs repaired without charging.

                Best Uses

Comments about D'Angelico Premier Series SS Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Stairstep Tailpiece:

I bought this guitar because of a friend's excellent review and video playing a similar model from this same brand that got me to buy it right away but I guess mine was a lemon.
Very annoying fret buzz on 1st and 2nd strings on 1st and 2nd fret, along with buzzing coming from the rear tail piece. Probably the rear tail metal buzzing might be easy to fix but the fret buzzing in the first frets is a defect due to poor workmanship and definitively bad quality control on this guitar.
I wish I could have the time to play with one before buying it at a nearest guitar center but I just bet on the good reviews I read online along with my friend's very good video-review to order one.
Don't get me wrong it's a good looking guitar, pretty easy to handle and with a decent feeling in your hands but, now definitively, I'm not really impress with the quality of the sound.
It's weird to mention that my $88 Epiphone Special Edition (very entry level guitar model) got a better sound than this guitar (just by playing them without amp), and definitively was not a match for an Ibanez GR Series just to mention another brand.
But I'll give another try on this brand and I'll post it online how this one came.
