Have always used Fender 355 triangular Tortoise shell picks. Theses are an equitable replacement, just need to adapt.

Ordered 4 dozen of the orange 0.60mm. I'm pleased they are a lot less warped than the batch I bought two+ years ago. Not as dead-level flat as the kind that Fender makes but close enough.

  • You might like the bigness. THere's a lot to keep hold of.

There's a lot to like about these picks. Basically you've got three points to wear down if you manage to hang on to them that long, and they're big, so if you're a clumsy old oaf they're kind of nice to hang on to. That being said, they might be too big for some folks, of course, but I can't imagine it's won't be worth it to have a few like this in the guest pick jar at least. I get them in the normal thickness I like, which is quite thin.

  • Love the material, hate the quality control.

Bought a dozen or more each of the .60mm, .73mm and .88mm. Well over half are warped, which matters in a pick this big. I really like the color-coded thickness. But I'm just going to select the most flat 10% and toss the rest.

  • Easy to hold.

I always have trouble holding on to picks and find these large size give you more area to hold on to. They are also not as slippery as most picks which aids in grip.
