This scintillating music was by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908). Procession of Nobles is an excerpt from his unsuccessful ballet Mlada, in 1892. This stately processional march is the only surviving excerpt from the ballet still remaining in the standard orchestral repertoire.
