Best Uses

Comments about Chapman MLV Pro Modern Electric Guitar:

I build airplanes for a living, and I know all about precision and high quality. having said that, most people probably wouldn't see the imperfections that I do. out of the box, guitar looks and plays great. had a slight buzz on the high E and B strings, and intonation was slightly off. which is to be expected when a guitar is getting acclimated to a new environment/country. so some simple set-up adjustments. tuning stability is awesome, Floyd rose working flawlessly. I'd say it has more of a hard rock sound, but does metal just fine. Been playing it through my peavey 5150 combo and Marshall jvm205H with orange cabs. my only complaints are cosmetic. the flamed maple top is no where near as stunning as the demo models seen on youtube, on a scale of 1-10, I give it a 4.and the sanding of the contours is total amateur work at best. the only other thing is the lay out of the tuning pegs, they don't match up perfectly from side to side. overall, it's a keeper, you get what you pay for. it's not a $3000 custom ax, however, the minor defects could have been easily avoided.
