Comments about Chapman Ghost Fret Electric Guitar:

I am a guitar collector and mostly play Gibsons but have been a fan of Rob Chapman due to his videos on You Tube for some time, which is how I became aware of his guitars. I happened to be in the Guitar Center in Harrisburg, PA the other night and saw this Ghost Fret in the gray finish hanging on the wall and decided to try it out. I tried out a few others as well including a Wylde LP copy and a Synyster Gates Custom. The setup on the Synyster Gates was awful so it was immediately ruled out. The choice was either the Wylde or the Ghost Fret.

The Ghost Fret won due to a couple of factors, the primary one being the bang for the buck factor. The Ghost Fret is a very light guitar. The guitar is fairly bright sounding and the pickups do articulate fairly well. The guitar comes with a decent gig bag out the door as well and the Wylde, that costs substantially more does not. I found the Ghost Fret to be a very nice looking guitar however there are some definite finish flaws (knocked a star off for that). Additionally, the finish is incredibly fragile. If you breathe on it funny, it may crack. There was a corner that someone bumped it into something in the store and the paint is chipped (the guitar will be getting exchanged due to that one). All in all, if you are looking for an inexpensive guitar that does pack a very decent bang for the buck, this one is it.
