    What else is there?

I've had some cabs in the past that just didn't have "it" and I wasn't sure why. They just didn't have that sound I wanted. It was a warm, thick-but-pure sound with a tight bottom end and smooth mids and highs. Once I bought a cab loaded with Vintage 30's, I realized that I'd found "it." I won't touch a cab that isn't loaded with these babies anymore. If you're looking for "it," then look no further.

Better be ready to return these if ordering online

Guitar center should get five stars but Celestion is actually the culprit here. I ordered four of these puppies and two of the four had cardboard or some kind of paper glued to the speaker. I tried to peel it off and some of the paper tore on the speaker cone. You would think a reputable company like celestion would have better quality control. The speakers play and sound great. I do believe this is what makes the difference between a 10 years speaker vs a lifetime investment. Thumbs down!

Fantastic overall sound quality. I have it paired with a Celestion G12H Anniversary speaker. Playing the 2 together with my Marshall DSL20HR is a fantastic combination that gets me through everything from AC/DC and Aerosmith to Living Color and Metallica.

    • Amazing tones and wonderful sound

The speaker in my old amp was just too tired and too old. This speaker improved the sound 100%

I have owned a Fender Frontman 212R for the past 10 years. At the time I needed something that had power to get loud but was cheap. I got what I paid for. It was a loud amp but not the greatest sounding. It had the same Fender stock speakers for the entire 10 years. The clean tone of this amp was usable but could get really shrill sounding with the Treble up past 5. The distortion however was unusable. Terrible sounding Distortion channel. The overdrive channel sounded decent but this amp has this feature where you can essentially add more distortion to the overdrive channel. I think that feature is really what makes this channel sound bad. Enter 2 Celestion V30 8 ohm speakers. I bought them from guitar center online. I put them in the amp immediately. My amp has 4 connections that just slip onto the tabs and then 2 that have to be soldered. I wired it exactly as the previous were. Turned it on and BOOM. The clean tone can still get shrill if you turn the treble past 5. However, the distortion...while still sounding a bit fake was a HUGE improvement. It was clear to me that the distortion's problem previously was the original speakers. Even though it sounds a bit fake(due to the amps head NOT the speakers as it had that sound previously) it's usable and way tighter and boomy than before. I am extremely impressed with these speakers and there's a reason why big artists use them. Totally recommend if you have an amp that has cheap stock speakers. Way improved sound!

    • Great quality and sound.
