Comments about Casio CDP-135 88-Key Digital Piano with Wood Stand and Sustain Pedal:

Great keyboard for the price....doesn't have all the bells and whistles but has the essential things I need for studio practice: weighted keys, sturdy stand, metronome, essential effects....speakers are not that loud although they are stereo....I purchased a Behringer Keyboard amp to augment the sound....I love the tones it has for the grand piano!!!

Comments about Casio CDP-135 88-Key Digital Piano with Wood Stand and Sustain Pedal:

I've owned this piano for approximately 6 months. I started guitar about 9 months ago and wanted a good piano to learn music theory.

What makes this piano unique is its tri-hammer action. It has a 'real' piano action with perfect touch sensitivity. I'm not a pianist but compared to other piano recordings it sounds great. More important for me, it has a USB output. This means you can use it as a MIDI device. I've used Playground Sessions to learn the basic mechanics of chords and melody (with instant feedback). I'm also using it as a MIDI device for DAW plugins -- I significantly prefer this piano over my 25 key portable midi controller due to the hammer action keys.

The tone for the common settings (grand/modern piano) are pretty accurate. I've used a much more expensive Yamaha P115 and they sound basically the same -- close enough given the P115 costs 2x's as much. Most of the other tone settings are pretty useless. The metronome and reverb settings are essentials. The ability to change the weight of the keys is also welcome. Be warned: This piano can only use a sustain pedal -- you need to upgrade to the more expensive models if you want to use 2 or 3 foot pedals.

This is essentially as low as you can go price wise for a piano with true hammer action. The Williams Legato and similar pianos with 'semi-weighted' keys do not feel the same (though they are far better than keyboards without weight). For all intents and purposes, this is equivalent to the Yamaha P45 found in many music programs but for $100 less.

I liked this piano so much I bought a Casio Privia PX-160 and gave this to my niece. The Privia came with an almost identical stand -- it's okay for furniture but is nothing special. I strongly recommend this piano for people looking to learn or gig with.

    Very nice piano and stand

Comments about Casio CDP-135 88-Key Digital Piano with Wood Stand and Sustain Pedal:

Very happy with this piano. I am a guitarist and was looking to buy a good digital piano that I could use to improve my piano skills and also keep for the long term. So far this has been a good choice. Weighted keys give an authentic piano feel. The tone and volume are good. Also, the stand is sturdy, looks nice, and was not hard to assemble. This seems like it'd be a great choice for even advanced piano players.

Comments about Casio CDP-135 88-Key Digital Piano with Wood Stand and Sustain Pedal:

For the price, this is a great digital piano. All keys are perfectly weighted, and the keys themselves full-sized, so what you're playing definitely feels like the real thing. The sound isn't the best, and fades pretty quickly with the sustain pedal provided (I'm not sure if a different pedal would make a difference, but I'd need to ask a pro about it). That's not to say it sounds bad because it definitely sounds like a piano. It's just not as amazingly convincing as others I've played. I'm also not particularly fond of this kind of construction just because a previous product of similar build left a pretty bad impression, but so far this piano seems to be nice and sturdy. For its purpose (songwriting, personal practice, YouTube videos) it works perfectly, and I definitely recommend it.

        great product and great service!

Comments about Casio CDP-135 88-Key Digital Piano with Wood Stand and Sustain Pedal:

Arrived in good condition. I like the clean appearance of the digital piano. The touch of the keys are very like the touch of a acoustic piano and the pedal works well. When practicing, I don't really notice I'm playing on a digital piano at all. Additionally, I really appreciate the staff's warm, considerate and help service!

Comments about Casio CDP-135 88-Key Digital Piano with Wood Stand and Sustain Pedal:

I like this Casio CDP-135 after a long day at work I play for awhile and practice songs. The features are very simple and easy to use. The sand is perfect. As far as stage performance, it may not have a lot of options to choose from selecting a specific sound but that's okay. Great to play alone or with a group to blend into the music.
