Comments about CHAUVET DJ Rotosphere Q3 Disco Effect Light:
Was excited when it was finally released since I had been looking for an addition of a mirror ball for Mobile DJ. Mine was damaged during shipping in the original packaging. I am hoping that either Chauvet or GC comes up with a safe carrying case for transporting. So far I can not find one. The problem with my light was that the center lighting element inside the fixture is centered in the ball on a thin angle shaped metal. During shipping it fell out of center and as the ball would spin it would get noisy and get stuck. That is how I found the problem, I opened it. The design does have easy access for it. After welding the angle bracket from the lighting element I have no further problems.. It no longer gets stuck on the ball while it is spinning.
As far as the lighting, it could be a bit brighter. The built in programs are enough to get by and the remote helps. I have not hooked it up to the DMX controller yet. Overall a decent buy
