Overview

The Bugera 1960 Infinium 150W classic hi-gain tube guitar amp head offers a tremendous range of tonal options. Bugera added no compromise post- phase- inverter master volume that can be bypassed for direct signal path and a huge output transformer with specially nested windings for use with external FX, preamps or modeling processors, making the 1960 a great go-to amp for massive stage sound and unbridled versatility.

The 1960 Infinium has one feature that distinguishes it from all other amps in its class--the two channels come equipped with 2 input jacks each that can be used separate, parallel or cascading operation, bridging the tonal eras of the '60s, 70s and 80s.

The revolutionary Infinium Tube Life Multiplier technology is like having your very own technician inside your amp constantly monitoring and tweeking tube performance for the ultimate in tonal integrity and reliability. This revolutionary circuit not only optimizes the performance of each output tube, it dynamically balances the drive between them to more evenly distribute the load. With Infinium your tubes last up to 20 times longer, saving you substantial money over the lifespan of your amplifier. Infinium also compensates for the effects of aging, automatically adjusting current levels to keep your tubes sounding as good as the day they were installed.

Great Amp

Comments about Bugera 1960 Infinium 150W Classic Hi-Gain Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I've had old marshall's, new marshall's, boogies, and fenders. I put this amp right up with the rest of them. I really love the infinium circuit. I've swapped tubes in it numerous times trying different sounds and never had a problem. The only thing I don't like is the built in master volume doesn't go to 0 so be aware this amp is LOUD! This amp love's pedals into the front end. I don't have any input as far as the effects loop because I don't use it. Great for blues and classic rock. Highly recommend.

Comments about Bugera 1960 Infinium 150W Classic Hi-Gain Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I own several plexi amps, all of which are hand built & wired PTP , and were thousands, they all sound great but all a little different, as to be expected with hand built & wired amps, but this Bugera can sound like all of them, it's mind blowing to think an amp 1/8th the price of some , can sound like this, and the louder it gets the better, and it has a bypassable MV that my others don't have, and it's literally twice as loud as my other 100w plexi heads, and that's with stock tubes, can't wait to put some great tubes in it, I'll probably sell my others for a nice car

Comments about Bugera 1960 Infinium 150W Classic Hi-Gain Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I have read the reviews commenting on how loud it is, yes they are correct. What I love about this head is the versatility. By changing the inputs you can fine tune how you drive the amp to get the various tonal characteristics you may be looking for. Run both inputs parallel, or cascade channel 2 into channel 1. Since I run stereo effects the dual input is a feature that I was looking for. Yes this is a powerful, loud amp which is to be expected from a 150 watt tube head. Don't complain because you will get a lot of bang for the buck. On my amp, the post phase master works fine at adjusting the output while still allowing the tubes to drive. I am running mine through 2 212 cabinets. So far I am pleased with the results.
