    Just sounds right to me! I use it for my "heavy crunch" sound and add other overdrive pedals before and after to push heavy and lead sounds.

    Interesting pedal. It is geared on the aggressive side of OD. I like it, but not what I was expecting. Dial it up and you are clearly in nice distortion territory. The bass/treble controls are nice and you can really dial in the deep boom with the bass. It still behaves like an OD pedal, but you can really get nasty with it.

    I run this in front of my Crate Vintage Club 50, and it sounds great, especially on the clean channel. I plan on using the clean channel exclusively now, since with the OD-1X it sounds better to my ears than the amp's dirty channel either with or without the pedal.

    Whether you need to dirty up a clean channel for some old rock ala AC/DC or to use for a lead boost this pedal sounds great and responds well to the type of attack you use. I am running it in front of a Marshall JCM 800 and a DSL 40C with a Les Paul and my old 1980's Kramer Barretta and it sounds amazing. Do not have any negatives to state about this pedal.
