Versatile John Petrucci Signature Pickups
The JP60 is equipped with a pair of versatile humbucking pickups designed in collaboration with John Petrucci. The bridge pickup provides tight, aggressive tones with clarity and definition. The neck pickup delivers warm, rich cleans and bluesy overdrive. A push-pull tone pot activates the neck pickup for single coil tones, allowing a range of bright, jangly sounds. With these pickups, the JP60 covers the tonal spectrum for any style or genre.
Fast, Comfortable Maple Neck
The JP60 features a fast maple neck with a smooth rosewood fingerboard, providing comfort and playability. The slim taper neck profile and flatter 16" radius allow effortless solos anywhere on the neck. 24 jumbo frets provide ample room for expressive bends and vibrato. For enhanced comfort, the neck heel and shoulder are sculpted.
Sleek, Balanced Nyatoh Body
The JP60 has a sleek nyatoh body that provides a balanced and articulate tone. The nyatoh body enhances warmth and resonance, with a focused midrange and tight low end. Contoured edges provide enhanced comfort, allowing you to play for hours. At just over 7 pounds, the JP60 has an ideal weight for performance and recording. This cool guitar comes in a sleek Stealth Black finish.
Premium Components for Enhanced Playability
High-quality components like a two-point tremolo bridge, die-cast tuners and graphite nut provide enhanced tuning stability and playability. The two-point tremolo bridge allows subtle pitch bending effects. Locking tuners provide fast, precise tuning. A graphite nut improves sustain and reduces string binding. Premium .009–.042 gage strings provide a slinky feel with balanced tension.

It took some time for me to LOVE this guitar

I bought mine January 2nd. The preliminary setup was awful. I am average at guitar setups but can handle most. The Floating Bridge on this was the most difficult part to get used to. After a month of frustration trying to stabilize the bridge and keep the guitar in tune, I finally took it to a Luthier, who did it amazing professional setup under $100. From that moment on, this JP 60 has been the most enjoyable guitar I've played. It has incredible tone versatility. The pickups are nice and clear and sound very similar in tone to my Les Paul. The one great difference is the bridge pickup has my favorite tone setting of all - which on other guitars I don't use as much . It plays really well with different effects pedals. The weight is very light compared to most of my other guitars. The BEST feature is the fretboard and the neck. This is the fastest playing guitar I have ever experienced. I don't know how, but I can fly around this guitar and it actually feels amazing in my hands. It is giving me so much versatility with recording projects because of this. My recommendation is to make sure you understand how floating Bridges affect a guitar before you buy this. The strings need to be changed in a certain way so as not to throw everything out of balance. I snapped a couple before I learned how to properly maneuver with the guitar maintenance. I almost gave up on this guitar because it's a little high maintenance for me - but now I'm glad I suck with it because it is totally worth it.
I wouldn't buy this again

Very happy with this guitar. Perfect weight, easy to play, good pickups, locking tuners, and smooth tremolo. The black matt finish looks cool. It's been my go to guitar since I bought it 2 months ago. My other guitars have been collecting dust. This guitar has a great tone!

This guitar is great for Metal, Jazz and cleans or really any style. The guitar is on par with guitars that are twice the price. It plays and feels great. The neck is very smooth and comfortable. I play this through a Positive Grid Spark 40 and is sounds great.

Is there a guitar case for the Sterling JP60 BY MUSIC MAN.
There is no branded case. This would be a good fit "Musician's Gear MGMEG Molded ABS Electric Guitar Case"
