As a guitar player, bought the bronco bass (short scale) to complete my home studio, what a surprise, nice little bass, comfortable, this one with a well cut nut, action spot on, neck pocket, paint, everything ok, nice sound for a cheap strat single coil (maybe would change later just to eliminate the 60 cycle hum).

  • I like it!!

I like short scale basses in general because I think they're fun to play - which this Bronco definitely is. Maybe I'm not very critical because I just play bass for a hobby, but really I couldn't find anything about this Bronco to complain about. Except maybe the strings, but that's a given. Mine came with Fender lights (40) and they sounded pretty blah to my ear. The d'Addario lights I tried next were a little better, but it wasn't until I put on La Bella stainless steels that I got what I was looking for. I did tweak the truss rod a hair to get rid of a little buzz on the first fret of the E string. The electronics are pretty silent and have a good Fender tone. Fret ends are smoothed out. It's got closed tuners and a four-barrel bridge for better intonation, not the two barrel that used to come on Broncos (which I actually liked). Cosmetically it's beautiful; the combination of the Daphne blue with maple fretboard and black pickguard is crisp and sharp. Overall the workmanship and quality control on this one was excellent so I have no regrets about picking it up; it's definitely one neat little bass.

  • I would buy this product again and again

I purchased one of these several months ago. I'm a guitar player who has had to play bass from time to time in bands. This is the 5th bass I I I have owned and I am very pleased with it. It feels good and sounds good. I do use a bass effects processor and have an Ampeg bass amp, but I've played it without the processor and it sounds very good. For the price, it's a good buy.

  • I bought this to use for parts

But that didn't work out so I am upgrading everything. It sounded fine through my Vox tube amp, but I know I can improve in things.

  • I love this Bronco bass!

Came set up nicely out of the box, just some tweaking to the truss rod an lowering the bridge saddles to my liking. Frets were polished nice with very little feel. Pickup on this Sonic limited edition is more powerful than the one I had on the last one I sold to purchase this one. I got the blue one with black pick guard and pickup cover. Knobs are smooth with no issues.very comfortable and easy to play for long gigs. I'm a professional musician and this is so much more than an entry level bass. Fit and finish are excellent. Would consider buying again. Go get one while you can you won't be disappointed!

What is the overall length of the guitar? Not the scale length as that's clearly in the description. I need the total length of the neck and body.

    The Sonic is about 39".
