I'm leaving a review after using this product for about a year. I'm in a band that holds practice at the guitar players house and he has his own kit that I use for said practice. He had one on the snare and I had never used it before. It really does fatten up the sound and kinda muddies it at the same time. It does take away some of the sensitivity of the drum so of course it's not for everyone's taste or perhaps not for every song in your set list. And I know that you can get this sound with the correct head choice and tuning but this makes it instant and easy to switch for a different sound/song without having to swap out the whole drum. I would recommend it for drummers wanting to tone down some of the volume as well which it does if you lighten up on your sticking.
This product is cool!

I use this product in a worship setting, in combination with another product to achieve lower volume. This product is great, easy to use, and seems to actually enhance the sensitivity of the snare drum the way I use it.
I would buy this again.

I mainly have my snare tuned pretty tight. This gives me versatility in live/recording sessions to add a fat snare sound without having to bring a second snare. A little expensive, but worth the price, as it sounds much better than the other ways to get a fat sound out of your snare. Excellent sound, awesome product!
Does what it says; lowers perceived pitch by a note

One second way to change sound. Bought the 14" and have tried it on my snare and 16" floor
