Description
The Behringer Virtualizer 3D FX2000 rackmount effects processor brings immense versatility to studios and rigs with its advanced modeling algorithms. Using Real Sound Modeling (RSM) technology, the FX2000 accurately recreates sought-after vintage effects like tape echo, analog chorus and more. With over 70 different effect types, you can dial in lush reverbs, organic modulation, psychoacoustic processing and beyond. The FX2000 features dedicated knobs and an LCD display that provide intuitive control over parameters when crafting your own presets. You can route effects in series or parallel for layered, customizable tones. Balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs allow seamless integration with keyboards, guitars, vocals and any other audio source. Bring professional-grade effects modeling to your recordings and live sound with the Behringer Virtualizer 3D FX2000.
Shape Your Sound With Realistic Effect Modeling
At the core of the FX2000 is Behringer's Real Sound Modeling technology, which accurately recreates iconic effects through advanced digital processing. It goes far beyond basic digital effects by capturing the nuanced details and behaviors of analog classics. The FX2000 has an extensive effects library covering reverbs, delays, modulation, distortion and more. From rich hall reverbs to vintage tape echo and chorus, the FX2000 provides effects ideal for any instrument or mix. The modeling is so realistic you'll think you're using original hardware units costing far more. With the FX2000's deep editing parameters, you can fine-tune each effect to match your creative vision.
Quick Editing With Dedicated Controls
Tweaking effects on the FX2000 is intuitive thanks to hands-on knobs and an informative LCD display. You can easily dial in sounds and make adjustments on the fly using the dedicated knobs for parameters like time, tone and mix. The LCD keeps you informed on the selected effect type, while additional menus provide access to deeper editing capabilities. Save your favorite sounds to the 100 user preset slots, recallable at the push of a button. MIDI implementation enables remote editing from external controllers and integration with MIDI rigs.
Flexible Routing for Layered Tone Crafting
A major advantage of the FX2000 is its flexible routing options. You can arrange effects both in series and parallel to explore creative combinations. Stack modulation effects like flanger and phaser on top of reverbs. Place compressors and EQ before or after your distortion patches. Put delays in parallel with choruses for ambient textures. The routing potential is vast. The FX2000 also functions as a 2-in/2-out audio interface, allowing integration with computers. Balanced XLR and 1/4" I/O ensure reliable connectivity in any live or studio setup. Expand your tonal palette with the Behringer Virtualizer 3D FX2000 effects processor.

Not for recording
Constant hissing sound. I've owned several Behringer products and this appears to be a trait of their products. I've used them mostly for live performance and have never had luck in a recording environment with them. I was hoping, as advertised, this unit was quiet, but it isn't. While the hiss is barely audible, it really is a disappointment when trying to use it for vocal tracks as is advertised. It does a superb job in live applications and for the money it is salvageable for that purpose. Don't buy for recording - great for gigging.

MIDI functionality very limited

I tried to use this for guitar effects, and while the sounds were acceptable, the MIDI implementation was not. There's no way to create a program change map. Every program change message is hardwired to load one of the factory presets. This compares unfavorably to 80s technology.
Good for the money

Good product, only complaint is that it is advertised as two independent channels and that's not 100% accurate.

My 2nd one. The first lasted a year plus with heavy road use, but so affordable I don't mind. Get the Pro warranty! XLR in/out and the price are the plusses. Takes a bit to learn front panel and no tap tempo are the minuses.
