Great if you understand the strong points!

This pedal gets a lot of up turned noses from the tone snob community. First time I tried this pedal I didn't like it. Too bright. Too brittle. Not enough distortion. Kind of flubby bottom end. I was using it wrong. It was designed to run into an already hot amp already breaking up. It's not like a modern distortion pedal or an amp in a box where the pedal takes control of your tone. Run it in front of an amp that's on the verge of break up or already distrorted. Turn the volume up, tone knob down, gain knob less than half way, and see if doesn't come alive for you. I've also used it as a boost pedal. Volume all the way up. Gain almost all the way down. Tone knob less than a quarter. Thank me later!!!! Boss all the way!!!!

I would not buy this product as it did not last two days.

Did not last two days, Used it about an hour the first day I received it. About 24 hours later went to practice with it again, would not work.

    Got the tone I'd been looking for Ease of use, great addition to my pedal board, woke up my cheap amp and was perfect for my tube amp. I love boss products. And this is another reason I do. Guitar center stock of product is amazing Will be definitely looking into even more boss products from gc. Ty

    Didn't work for my bass but it was intended for that either. I gave it a shot but returned it for a Darkglass.

    Good distortion sounds with a lot of sustain. Quality biuld like all Boss pedals. The patch cords that came with the pedal are high quality cables.
