collapse expand iconWarranty

On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages. Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website. The information below reflects the product warranty periods that will be effective on May 1st, 2009 for the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg brands: Mackie: A 3-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on electronics and a 2-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on drivers (where applicable) apply to loudspeakers (active and passive), power amps, powered mixers, and HR studio monitors. I never thought that something so small would be so powerful.

  • Yes, it does have THAT Ampeg bass sound.

Bought this as an Open Box item from MF. Researched and read many positive reviews. Took the dive and got it. Was a little worried it wasnt going to be powerful enough. Wrong... this little sucker has got PLENTY of power for what I'm using it for: home practice and loud weekend jams with my bandmates. Currently pairing with a Peavey Tour 210 cab. I have an MXR 10-band EQ pedal but this Ampeg does perfectly fine without it. Will have to tighten up the light fixtures in my practice room soon. This little Ampeg THUMPS.

  • Mighty little amp!

Since there are only 2 reviews at this time I had to make another review. Firstly, this little guy looks awesome but more important, it sounds incredible. I bought this used and was extremely impressed by its tone. Sounds very Ampegy. This little guy sounds great DI'd out for recording ( very warm sounding). As far as power goes...the one review that this is not powerful enough must only be using one 8 ohm cab. When I plugged the accompanying 2x10 cab and added an Ampeg 1x15 this little guy sounds loud enough to play against a hundred watt marshall and loud drummer! I then played it through an Ampeg 4x10HEN and Ampeg 1x15HE cabs together and I was blown away at the volume level...How could this little cute micro AV head be pushing that much air? It made me shake my head with unbelief....and it sounded just about as loud as my 350 watt Ampeg head!......It's a little MONSTER!...you will love it! But get the cab too....well worth it! I definitely found my new smaller gig amp....very light weight! I have been playing Bass for 28 years and play through expensive gear, you can rely on this review to be honest. The only thing that would concern me is that "Made in China" on the back....so far no issues what-so-ever and I bought it used.

If you want to get the full 200 watts out of this, you will need to turn the gain & volume way past halfway, which will distort your signal. Thats the main reason it's not powerful enough to gig with. As far as a practice amp, the biggest con is, you can only play your music files thru headphones, NOT the speakers. BAD design flaw, what's up with that Ampeg??? Took mine back...

I am a lifelong guitarist. About two years ago my keyboard player and I split bass duties when our bassist left the band. I only play bass on about six tunes in our set and got this rig for mobility but love it. At 200 watts it is very loud and durable. May get a second cabinet for projection.

Hey, I was wondering if this Amp Head works well with the Ampeg SVT-112 or should I get the Venture V3?

" Works well" is not a concern, they will both work equally as well. What do you want? The V3 has a 100 watts more power.
