Description
American DJ's Gaffers Tape provides an essential solution for managing cables, marking layouts and labeling gear in live productions or studio environments. This high-quality gaffers tape tears easily by hand and sticks securely, yet removes cleanly without leaving residue.
Versatile and Durable for Maximum Utility
Whether taping down cables across a stage, marking positions for lighting fixtures or labeling equipment cases, American DJ's Gaffers Tape provides premium performance. Its durable, water-resistant backing and adhesive layer handle well in warm or cold temperatures. Yet it tears effortlessly by hand for quick, customized lengths. Once applied, this gaffers tape adheres firmly to most surfaces. Yet when it's time to strike the set, it removes without damaging the surface or leaving behind sticky residue.
High Quality at an Exceptional Value
As a leading brand for DJ and production gear, American DJ is committed to excellence. This gaffers tape is no exception, providing professional quality and durability at an exceptional value. The 60-yard roll contains far more tape than most standard rolls so you'll spend less time changing out rolls and more time focused on the task at hand. For any production crew, this gaffers tape is an essential, budget-friendly tool that provides show after show of reliable performance.
A Clean, Minimalist Look
With a classic white colorway, American DJ's Gaffers Tape provides a clean, minimalist look that blends seamlessly into most production designs and decors. The white color also makes it ideal for creating crisp, legible labels and markings. Unlike some white tapes, this gaffers tape's color-fast pigments and UV-resistant construction prevent yellowing or discoloration over time. Even in storage, the tape retains its bright, pristine white color for a professional appearance whenever it's needed.

OK for taping down wires - doesn't take paint

This tape is sold in the store in both black and white. Unlike "classic" fabric backed gaffers tape, it has a smooth vinyl-like back. If, among the many other uses for gaff tape, you use it to cover seams and edges before painting scenery, it will not work for that. It also does not stick well to raw wood. If you are using this tape to stick cables down on carpet or floor temporarily, then it's fine. If you need "real" fabric backed gaff tape, they do sell it in black in the store for a few bucks more.

Earlier I wrote. "I purchased this American DJ White Gaffers Tape to cover the wires leading to speakers mounted on my living-room walls because I didn't want to have to fish the wires behind the sheet rock." Here is a photo to illustrate my use:
Seems ideal for my application.

I purchased this American DJ White Gaffers Tape to cover the wires leading to speakers mounted on my living-room walls because I didn't want to have to fish the wires behind the sheet rock. For that purpose it is ideal. I just hope that when I remove it in several years it will come off without either leaving a sticky residue or taking the paint with it. I won't know for sure until that time.....
