Alvarez RG260CESB Regent Series Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar Gloss Sunburst

Description
The Alvarez RG260CESB Regent Series Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar is an innovative model that redefines what an affordable, quality instrument can be. With a cutaway Grand Auditorium body, slimmer mahogany neck and tonewood construction, the Grand Auditorium offers comfortable playability, robust tone and stage-ready electronics.
Cutaway Body Provides Easy Upper Fret Access
The Grand Auditorium's cutaway body shape provides comfortable access to higher frets for lead playing and intricate chording. Its tapered waist and rounded shoulders produce a balanced, focused tone with clear, ringing notes. The cutaway design also gives the instrument a stylish, modern appearance that will appeal to players of all skill levels.
Slim Neck Profile Suited for Beginners and Smaller Hands
Alvarez designed the Regent Series RG260CESB with beginner and intermediate players in mind. Its slimmer mahogany neck has a 1-11/16" nut width and low action for fast, comfortable playing. The neck's shallow profile helps new players properly position their hands and clearly fret chords and melodies. Seasoned players or those with smaller hands will also appreciate the Grand Auditorium's effortless playability.
Quality Tonewoods Produce Robust, Well-Balanced Tone
This Regent Series model's Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and scalloped bracing work together to produce a bold, balanced tone. The spruce top brings out bright, articulate highs while the mahogany body adds warmth and depth. Notes ring clearly and sustain well, allowing the instrument's full-bodied voice to shine through whether strumming chords or fingerpicking melodies.
Onboard Electronics for Acoustic or Plugged-In Performance
With the RG260CESB's SYS250 preamp and 3-band EQ, you have full control over your amplified tone. Easily adjust bass, midrange and treble levels to match the venue or mix well with other instruments. An onboard tuner also provides convenient tuning at the touch of a button. Whether performing for an intimate coffeehouse audience or on a large auditorium stage, the Grand Auditorium delivers the flexibility and quality of sound needed for any gig.

I'm really impressed, no flaws, setup is good, not the best sounding guitar though, haven't plugged it up Usually guitars come basically the same, with cheap pickups, I can't believe they made a guitar this good, then put a plastic saddle on it, and poor quality of strings, I've been working on guitars for years, I'll put a bone saddle on it and some Martin Ma130 on it. And it should sound as good as any guitar up to $1,000 that you pull right off the shelf. I'll definitely buy another one if they sell don't go off, and if I sell some of my other guitars, and I'll definitely do the upgrades.

Practice...occasional gigging when I break a string playing out. This instrument sounds very much like a Taylor....not a lot of lows but the highs are there and it's got decent overtones for a 200.00 guitar. I'm running it through a fishman loudbox mini. You really need a decent preamp to get rid of the icy treble piezio quack. A decent preamp smooths this thing out and gives it a smooth warm sound. I run it through the preamp and then an older arion chorus....I like using the chorus pedal instead of the fishman amp chorus cause it seems to match the impedence the best with the preamp. I usually turn the chorusl off and run it straight through to get the impedence match. Use the amp chorus if I want some...can use either. Preamp - chorus - plug in amp. Turn down bass and treble a bit especially if your turning the volume up....good sound. Won't get any cheaper for a cutaway with electronics. Did have problem with the preamp today....took out the box and re plugged in the piezio. Worked after that. (It's a B band type chinese preamp I believe...the piezio has an 1/8" plug to the preamp.)
Very happy with my purchase!!!

I'm just a recreational player, for the last 40 years lol I played several guitars in store in a wide price range. I kept coming back to this one because I was so impressed with how it played. My second choice was over 3 times the price. I do recommend playing a guitar before purchasing! I am thoroughly impressed by this one!
I would buy this Guitar again and again!
