Best in class by FAR

By DJ Kurt

from PA and NY

Comments about Allen & Heath Xone:22:

There is quite simply no other mixer in its class that compares to the quality of the Xone 22. Ive had rock solid reliability from it over quite a few gigs now and the build quality is amazing. Does it have a ton of perks? no. It dosnt need them though. It does what its meant to do and does it very very well. I really couldnt see owning any other mixer for even twice the cost. The VCF filter is a great addition and the balanced outputs have tons of headroom. Great mic channel as well. A+++.

Cant Go Wrong

By Oktave

Comments about Allen & Heath Xone:22:

I just got this yesterday after waiting almost a month. The mixer is awesome, especially if you use really good cables. I have it hooked up to my M-Audio Bx5as with XLR cables from Monster Cable. And man oh man! awesome sound. There are a few things I dont like about the mixer, that I didnt think about. The headphone cue is a knob as opposed to button, and the crossfader doesnt have a thru setting, so you have to keep it in the middle, if you use the channel faders to mixer like i do. otherwise this is an awesome mixer of quality for a really good price. i always recommend getting an extra warranty just in case.

Awesome mixer, yet strange

By Oktave

from El Paso, TX

Comments about Allen & Heath Xone:22:

If you are familiar with the quality of Allen & Heath, then you know that hands down regardless of the size of the mixer or how many channels, its going to have, its gonna be awesome! Which what I say about this little tyke. Its got a lite version of the filters, which allow you to add a lil bit of spice to your sets. However there are some odd features or lack of. The crossfader doesnt have "thru" setting, like the pioneer mixer, so you have make sure keep the crossfader in the middle, if mix with the channel faders. Also there is no power switch? So Im not sure if it is safe to keep it plugged in all the time, or am I suppose to plug in and unplug when in and out of use? I think instead of having the option to change the led reading, from reg to meter mode, which looks neat in the dark, they could have added a on/off switch. Other than that no big complaints here. Quality mixer at a really good price, perfect for bedroom djing.

Great Little Mixer

By Nicole Lagreca

from Philadelphia, PA

Comments about Allen & Heath Xone:22:

I tried 3 mixers before keeping this one. I was replacing an older mixer from the early 90's that has a kicking pre-amp and really boosts the sound of volume deficient older vinyl. The XONE 22 was my answer. The sound quality is excellent, the volume output, while not as good as my old mixer was on par with it. I can now count on having enough level on those few records that were mastered very low to begin with. It has good compact size so portability is great- no bells or whistles but you can hook up an effects device. Highly recommend it.

Everything is good but the EQ

By Paul

from San Francisco

Comments about Allen & Heath Xone:22:

I got this as a cheep temp replacement. I have owned 2 vestax's, a djm600, some old newmark and a dxm09 and have used many others. Compared to all of them the eq's on this are weird. If you use your eq's to mix then I would choose something else. If you dont then Its a great mixer. Its built well, everything feels great. But the EQ's I dont know if its the curve of the filter or what but yeah. My other friends who are experienced dj's agree. But if you dont mix with your eq's get it.

too bad I couldn't get one that worked

By shad whitten

Comments about Allen & Heath Xone:22:

This little man has great potential. Great feel and set up, amazing Allen and Heath sound and perfect price point for the non-pro DJ. Unfortunately, after going through 3 separate ones, I can't recommend this mixer, Now, some out there might win the lotto and get one that works but I am, alas, not that lucky. The filters go on then don't go off. On two of them, the right channel played through both channels, even when both channels where turned all the way down. Now, just so you don't think that I'm just hard on my mixer, this was the condition out of the box, first set up. Again, this is a real disappointment because the little mixer could be great for those starting out. A&H just has to get a handle on their quality control. As a side note, GC has been great in accommodating these issues and I commend them on that.
