  • The perfect Les Paul for my studio.

As reviewed by R. on 7/16/2012

I needed a second guitar for recording purposes only. Primarily, I'm a bassist but I wanted to learn guitar after nearly 40 years of playing. When I found this, I was quite impressed with the sound and the action. Plus, I wanted one that could give me the sustain I needed on specific tracks.

  • one awesome guitar

As reviewed by austin haberstroh on 12/26/2012

i had gotten this guitar as a christmas gift, and man i was giggling like a little school girl when i saw it. this guitar is gorgeous!! i got it with the wine red finish and it is marvelous. the quality is excellent and it sounds amazing. on the clean setting it has a warm rich tone, and on overdrive it has a good crunch too it. i would highly recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking for an awesome guitar with a good price.

  • The same thing, but without the costly name on the headstock

As reviewed by MARK NODLAND on 2/15/2013

After playing a lot of Gibson Les Pauls and many Les Paul copies over the course of one year, I finally settled on this guitar. The clarity, sustain, and richness of tone in this Epiphone LP are incredible and I've come to the conclusion that the only real difference is the name on the headstock and the price tag. The craftsmanship is excellent and the factory setup was surprisingly good. Most guitars that I purchase require some professional setup after they arrive, but this guitar was spot on. The action is nice and low and the frets are set nicely... no rough edges or unevenness anywhere. The glossy finish has a lot of depth and looks so much better than the flat-looking images that are on this site and on Epiphone's site. The ProBucker 2s and 3s definitely make this guitar stand out from most of the guitars Epiphone makes. I was used to hearing the fairly muddy-sounding "Classic" series pickups that Epiphone likes to stick in their guitars, so this particular model stopped me in my tracks when I tried it out. It really sings! It easily holds its own when I play along with musicians who play guitars that cost twice as much. I will not part with this guitar!
