Bold musical tone at a heart-stopping price.

Classic Les Paul styling combined with a lustrous finish makes the Epiphone LP Junior Special Electric Guitar one hot-looking axe. Fast-playing neck and resonant tonewood body enhance the amazingly powerful, sustain-drenched tone of the single humbucker in the bridge position. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece create more sustain and make string changing easier. A fantastic first guitar or a very affordable solution for old hands who've always wanted a Junior to call their own. Case sold separately.

  • Serious Rock Fun for Very Few $

As reviewed by Scott Bailey on 3/19/2013

My first review! I have a pretty full stable of guitars that cover a wide range of styles, quality and price. I was looking for an LP Jr that I could "punk out". Don't even bother comparing to a Gibson LP or other "tone" machines...this little jewel has a tone of it's own that should be embraced for what it is. I was truly amazed at the quality of the fretwork and overall playability at this price range. After a little "garage tech" work and string change to 9s, I was able to get the action very low without any fret buzz and with great intonation. If you are looking for a straight forward, no-nonsense and FUN rock guitar, look no further. This is also a great base for mods...I already changed the pickup and removed the tone control. The result is a lightweight fire-breather that I'm proud to play anywhere, anytime. This is a great guitar for anyone looking for a LOT OF FUN for a just a few bucks!

  • Sometimes fools gold is just as good....

As reviewed by Greg on 4/12/2011

I always just used my friends electrics... but I figured it was time for something but I didn?t have a large budget so I bought the cherry red custom shop model just hoping for a decent body because I have the means to change the pickups and even possibly the neck if necessary, but right out of the box I was pleasantly surprised. It looked great and felt like an acoustic as far as the neck shape. so I tuned it up and practice a bunch with it and didn?t have to tune again until right before out 1st show because I left it in the car. All in all its great.. Only reason I had a problem is because I left it in the cold car... dumb mistake considering I knew better... but I definitely recommend this guitar to anyone and everyone!

  • I LOVE THIS THING

As reviewed by Kyle L on 11/28/2011

I wanted the Jr so i could learn to work on guitars, but I ended up falling in love with it. I replaced the pickup with Seymore Duncan Invader SH8 and changed the tunners with some Grover tunners. THIS THING SHREDS. I ended up trading my Traditional Pro for a Marshall Half Stack and this guitar plays so well now i use it as my main guitar. After playing with some settings i found the lowest action ever and yet no buzzing AMAZING This guitar is now covered in stickers and beat up and i still love it and would never get rid of it. BUY THIS GUITAR
