Moving on up!

Well, eMedia does it again, this time with Intermediate Guitar Method vol. 2. If you progressed through the first lesson of this series (Guitar Method for Beginner vol. 1), then your next move should be this wonderful package. I won it and I recommend it to any looking to improve on their ability to play the guitar better. These lessons requires a little more skill, but still walks you though the basics first, ( a review), which any good instructor should do before moving on to the next level. As with vol. 1, this version allows you to print lessons and most songs. The chord dictionary has been expanded in this version, to expose you to a wider range of tones. Hopefully you have gained some endurance in you fretting hand, because you are going to need it ? especially on The Grateful Dead?s ?Touch of Grey?, it is one of the longest songs in this package. The Jimi Hendrix style solo is intense to say the least, but you can slow down the tempo to a speed of your liking, in order to master it. It may take a little more time and effort to get through the lessons (depending on your skill level), but the end reward of playing the guitar much better than before, out weighs fore-mentioned by a ton. Remember these lessons are geared for you to get the most from it and as with anything of this nature you must take your time and be patient. Also please make use of the metronome, it is a very helpful tool and you should take advantage of it. So, if you finished the first package of this series and you are contemplating on whether or not to purchase the Intermediate Guitar Method, say BUY, you will not be disappointed. Or may be you didn?t use the Beginner?s Lessons first and you think you can handle the next level, go for it, but remember take your time. From my own experience, I played until my finger tips were sore. I dedicated a lot of time to these lessons and it has truly paid off for me. I am not a professional and I am not employed by eMedia. And lastly, I just didn?t learn play songs, I learned to play the guitar, trust me there is a difference.
