    This is my first experience with using a guitar tab editor so I can't compare it to anything else on the market, but I can say this, it is absolutely fun, simple to use, and educational. It allows you to add the other instruments to your song which is so much fun , and print out your song too. Also, it shows the entire fretboard and/or keyboard scale for the key you are using to write your song. That's really helpful. So, I am happy I bought it and even though it doesn't come with a manual I was able to figure out how to use it on my own. Also, now I can use the online tabs that are in Guitar pro format. Can't beat the price!! Great fun!

    This is one of those softwares that changes your habits and playing style forever. It's features are amazing. It's ease is something that might be a little tricky to conquer. Your options are endless with this. In a nut shell, Guitar Pro is a program that plays special tabs. Everything frm vibrato to palm mutes can be added. The new version enables the RSE (realistic sound engine). YOu can hear real sounds of insturments, making the tabs sound almost like the real song! Learning songs has never been so easy. A person can find almost every song they look for through average tab websites. Things such as tempo change (to slow down the song) help you conquer even some of the toughest riffs and solos. There is a fretboard that shows location of riffs and a standard clef showing the real notes. Finally, this program shouldn't be called Guitar Pro, because I know bassists and drummers and other musicians alike who can benefit from this software. You can write your own music as well as learn music for every instrument.

    Great software. Installation only takes a few minutes and doesn't take long to load up. Works fine, I've had it for about week and no problems. But if you want to record the songs, you need a good sound card. I have a realtek and it won't work right, but no big deal. You should definitely buy this, all the tabs you get on the internet are free, plus it's a good price.
