The Vinnie Paul Dragon snare drum is made of a 6-ply North American Maple shell with ddrum's bullet lug in satin chrome. This drum has die-cast hoops and comes with a Nickelworks throw-off. The custom Dragon fire graphic was designed by Vinnie and also features the Vinnie Paul signature Badge.

    I just happened to bid on one of these online,got it and I mean to tell yuh...with the usual tuning of ANY drum,and batter is the bout the best responsive feel than others I've owned and played.Now you can spend some big bucks on a quality maple shell snare,...and for the money this dude is the punchiest,tonal,bouncy,and easy to get with it....I love it for the price,and actually like it better than the 800.00 one I have with the old premiers set...ROCK ON AND BUY IT....TAKE MY WORD..JD

    This thing screams quality. Much nicer than the Pearl snare he had. Better throw-off, die-cast hoops, satin hardware, etc. It tunes up really easily, just changed the batter head for an Evans. It is really sensitive for 8x14, but doesn't ring or buzz alot at all. Also has tons of body and VOLUME! If you play any hard rock / metal and want that old-skool huge snare sound, then buy this NOW!

    I just bought this snare. i got the black lacquer of course and it is simply amazing. just did some light tuning and it sounds great
