It worked great with my alesis D5 module, I bought 2 sets because a use tow bass drums and a lot of toms. No more mics problems. Highly recommended.

  • Good for the money

As reviewed by AJ "Twichins" Malloy on 3/3/2011

I bought these almost a year ago. I use them with an Alesis DM5. I have used these to trigger both mesh heads( Pearl MFH mesh heads) and regular heads and they have worked very well. I have learned that with whichever heads and brain that you use you'll need to take time to work with X-talk and dynamic functions on the brain units to over come double triggering and sensitivity and such. As for the triggers I am a touring drummer and have had no problems with these units other than the metal bending from being thrown in the trailer. I would recommend spending the extra $100.00 and buy the Pro units which I have put on my new kit. I still use these on my other kit. These units have been drug all over the place and have never failed me thus far.

  • Poor Quality

As reviewed by Dan M. on 11/8/2010

The day I bought these I hooked them up to my Simmons SD9K module and tried them out. Almost immediately the problems were there. Not only do each of the triggers not pick up strikes that are relatively light, they also cancel out strikes that are too fast like a blast beat, or fast single roll. Aside from the sensitivity issue, all of the triggers will add in additional strikes even if I hit the drum once. Not to mention DDrum customer service is horrible... probably because they have none. Their emails on the site are unresponsive and there is no toll free number. i highly recommend saving the money for a more reliable brand such as Roland.
