Comments about dbx 386 Dual-Vacuum Tube Preamp:
I recently got the DBX 386 Dual Vacuum Tube Preamp. I have been using it quite a bit lately, and I have to say that I am not hugely impressed with it. It is a solid preamp, but it does not even add a lot of warmth to your sound, which is why I was interested in it. It has quite a few features, such as a digital to analog converter, the ability to handle both digital and analog signals, and an instrument in line in the front. Unfortunately, when all is said and done, it is basically your typical mic preamp that, while not crystal clear, does not add too many artifacts to your signal. I believe you should only look into this if you are interested in its digital/analog abilities.
