Comments about dbx 231s Dual Channel 31-Band Graphic Equalizer:

My home studio sound system is far from ideal, and I know that using an EQ to correct frequency anomalies is not far from a fool's errand, but my studio is what it is, and I have to make the best of it. This EQ was easy to install, sounds crystal clear, and is of course super intuitive. I'm still dialing in the frequencies for the room, but the 31 bands correspond perfectly with any decent spectrum analyzer. I'm just a bit sad that my room is SO bad. :-/

    Crystal clear sound

Comments about dbx 231s Dual Channel 31-Band Graphic Equalizer:

I use it in conjunction with my Allen &Heath and with my DBX 266xs; and it has impeccably improved the sound in my mix. Now I can distinctly hear each instrument in my mix without problem. It is better to EQ your sound before it hit your DAW, instead of EQ it has reached your DAW. And the DBX 231s will make it happen. My signal flow: Pream > insert (compressor) > mixer> DBX 231s > DAW.
The only cons is that, it doesn't have an on and off power button.

    Great product for the price

Comments about dbx 231s Dual Channel 31-Band Graphic Equalizer:

I purchased two units to use in my home theater. I am using them in conjunction with the dbx 3 channel crossovers. My front speakers are tri-amped and I needed the crossovers and equalizers to set correct levels and equalizaion in my theater room. They worked perfectly. My only complaint is they don't work well with unbalanced gear needing direct boxes to match impedence and levels, but when that was done they performed very well. I replaced Rane crossovers that were quite old and getting noisy, when used in a balanced configuration they are quiet and quite reveling. I highly recommend them.
