I am worship leader at a church that has always had the right equipment with the wrong people setting it up. Finally, a friend and I bought the driverack and everything changed!! Our system sounds like a million dollars now and I would truly put it up against any of the best sounding venues or churches in the world. So whether you are a church, dj, or traveling artist, buy this product. You will not regret it.
I have used several Driveracks of various models, but the latest release of the PA+ is a superb unit! If you have a general working knowledge of sound (what an amp does, why you need a crossover, etc) this device will not be difficult to use.
The quick start directions walk you through setting up your system. Its especially easy if you use standard brand equipment- I use Crown amps, Peavey and Cerwin Vega speakers- the directions include selecting the amp and speaker models and basically automate the configurtaion to get the best out of your system.
You can go from out of the box to playing music in about 15-20 minutes!
I HIGHLY recommend getting the RTA mic and going through the automated setup/equalizing/balancing process- let the Driverack do what it was designed to do!
I recommend using this equipment for any fixed or mobile application!
After messing around with compressors,EQ's and limiters, decided to take a leap. I am a drummer in the band and also own all of the PA equipment. I found that it was too much for me to set up and always adjust the board after every song. I installed the Driverack PA + and found that the Auto EQ and Feedback suppressor are really solid and work well. On our first gig with the unit, I set up the PA used the special RTA mic and that was it. Later that night, the fans that had seen us before, said we sounded better that any other concert! Don't waste your money on little $100 compressors or EQ's. Does not pay off. GO FOR IT!!
