This unit is almost identical to the 15 band version except that it has 31 bands providing the user with even more control. I enjoyed my 15 band unit so much that I purchased this unit for my church. The unit has been an excellent addition to our sound booth. I immediately noticed that we could gain better vocal performances by eliminating unwanted frequencies while in the meantime shaping the tone to properly fit the room. I have not had the unit for a long time yet, but so far it has been very reliable and easy to use.
This is a great EQ for anyone on a budget. I have one for my monitors, and have used it on the mains before, there was no hiss, even when the room was silent. The faders on this unit are smooth, and don't 'crackle' when being adjusted. This is an overall good unit. 4 Stars.
needed something fast for a sound system problem ! wasn't sure if an eq would be the fix ! needed something solid with quality with no bells or whistles . this unit was perfect. sliders were smooth and solid . was able to run the gain up at about + 10 with no problem. built really well with the xlr input and output option. i use the 50 hz filter because it keeps my acoustic from getting that low end rumble . completely satisfied ! the loud hiss problem that was mentioned didn't come from this unit . very quiet ! a great eq !
