There's an onboard chromatic tuner that supports all standard guitar tunings, including open and drop tunings, and a Looper feature that enables you to record up to 30 seconds of CD-quality audio. Loop length can be set either manually or to a preset number of quarter notes (up to 64 beats), and you can loop to any rhythm pattern, with automatic quantization that ensures seamless start and end times. Programming is simple and straightforward, thanks to a streamlined user interface and the large backlit LCD screen.

Dozens of different ways to make you a guitar hero
Dynamics / Filter
Eleven different ways to shape and control your sound with compressors, noise gates, filters, equalizers and wah effects. Emulate the classic tone of the MXR Dynacomp, dbx 160, Moog Filter or Z. Vex Seek-Wah, or create all-new effects using the automatic Slow Attack, parametric equalizer or six-band graphic EQ. Or choose Zoom's unique Noise Reduction (ZNR) algorithm, designed to remove noise during pauses while still maintaining your guitar's natural tone.

Overdrive / Distortion
Twelve exceptional boosters, overdrives, fuzzes and lead guitar sounds, including simulations of the BOSS OD-1, MXR Distortion+, Marshall Guv'nor, Fuzz Face, Big Muff and Pro Co Rat. Our ExtremeDS effect offers the most powerful gain of any distortion effect in the world, and there's also a simulator that allows your electric guitar to sound like an acoustic.

Twenty-two ultrarealistic models, including simulations of classic tube and solid state amps from manufacturers like Fender, Marshall, Vox, Hiwatt, Mesa Boogie, Orange, Bogner, Matchless and Diezel. The amp sounds are so lifelike, you'll swear on a stack of speaker cabinets you're listening to the real thing.

Modulation / Special Effects
Round out your sound with your choice of sixteen phasers and flangers, plus chorus, pitch shift, tremolo and vibrato. Included are emulations of the ADA Flanger, Boss CH-1 Super Chorus and TC Electronic Corona Chorus, as well as the Zoom HPS, an intelligent harmonizer that plays along in key, and a ring modulator that adds bell-like tones to your guitar. And when you're ready to go after some truly off-the-wall sounds, try out the endlessly rhythmic Slicer.

Delay / Reverb
Fourteen delays and natural-sounding reverbs, including rooms, halls, plates, springs, and tape delay simulators, all designed to add depth and spaciousness to your sound, with delay times of up to four seconds. You'll even find reverse delays, modulated reverbs and particle reverbs here-everything you need to place your guitar in a realistic space … or a totally unearthly one.

This thing is fun

By Michael

from Englewood Florida

having a great time with this pedal, so much stuff to mess around with Drum machine, looper, lots of guitar effects and amp emulators, noise gates, built in tuner. I do alot of research before i buy watching reviews on youtube and with 100s of reviews you can really get a feel for this pedal. I just wish i could connect it to my laptop and use my computer to tweek.

Awesome Pedal for the Price!

By Brandon

from Detroit, MI

Contrary to the Specifications on the site the M.E. Pedal actually has 100 Effects/Amps. The Rhythm box is useful but not exactly practical, merely basic drum patterns. The Looper is pretty good. You can over and overdub anywhere in the playback, just be sure to put your longest (30s Max) riff to loop in first. For the most part the effects are pretty basic, Noise Gates, Compression, Chorus, Reverb, Overdrive, Distortion, AutoWah, Slicers and Amps. Plenty to choose from and mix. I already have a setup to cover TDG stored in it. The photo's don't do it justice, they make you think that it just photo's well and is cheap plastic but it's actually pretty solid with a metal base. The display reminds me of a early 2000's cell phone but it's the sounds we are looking for and it deliver's well, their signature ZNR does do a pretty good job filtering out everything but what you expect out of the speakers. It comes with only 4 AA batteries for power, it boasts a 20 hour life on 4 AA Alkaline but I only ran it on battery for 5 minutes. The USB port (intended to be used for updates) also can be used to deliver usable power to the pedal and the average home probably has an only MiniUSB Charger or a MiniUSB cable and a AC/USB Adapter. (Cell Phone Chargers?) Out of all I only have 1 Con: In order to access the Tuner or utilize the Pre-select function you have to press both the left and the right pedal at the same time, sometimes if you're foot is tilted slightly you will merely change the effect preset rather than access the tuner or open the the preset you had pre selecteed. Summary: If you're just learning or on a budget, this is the thing to get. Literally thousands of effect combinations at your fingertips. I'm sure some of the pro's would rather get the effect pedals but I'm sure it should be good for even some of the more advanced users that want to give a Multi Effect Pedal a run.

BIG bang for the buck!

By Michael

from Sacramento, CA

I'm still in the early stages of exploring this little gem -- but, like their ad says, it's a $50 looper with a multi-effects pedal included. My first experience with a looper -- and at my basic level, it's fairly simple to get started. And it's FUN! Very pleased so far. Wish it was in a metal casing, but plastic works just fine at this price/expertise point.
