I've had this cymbal for four years now, and it was stood up to a great deal of playing. It has been a good cymbal for the money. For me it has blended very well with any music that I play. The only blemish on it came a little over a year ago when I was taking everything down after a show, and I dropped it on accident. Other than that the only draw back is it seems to be losing a little volume over all. All and all it is a great cymbal for the money.

Not a good cymbal. I use mainly ZBTs and ZHT and I would choose those any day over my 18" ZXT. I hate the thing. It SERIOUSLY SOUNDS LIKE THE ZBT RIDE. the ZXT is way too heavy and you have to hit it really hard to get any sizzle out of it. I'm a fairly hard player, considering I've cracked a 16" ZBT and a ZHT from hitting too hard, but this thing is a manhole cover. Not very proud of Zildjian on this one. I do not recommend this to anyone. Get a 16" ZHT crash, it's dark enough, but has the projection and power.

Comments about Zildjian ZXT Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

As a crash it's ok. As a second, brighter ride it is fantastic. Nice higher pitched ride sound. Not that it doesn't crash well but I have other cymbals that crash better but those crashes don't sound nearly as good as this one when you're riding it.

Comments about Zildjian ZXT Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I'm from the 50- 60s era a lot of attention given to cymbal and bass drum work. especially Soul and R&B. Which I grew up with, Love the Memphis Sound.
The ZXT Medium-Thin also serves very well as a light ride.

Comments about Zildjian ZXT Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I can't really "treview" this item yet, as I purchased it for a Christmas present for my daughter. I did check it out and I tried it with a few 'hits'. I can say that it is exactly what I was looking for. Already having an 18 inch "ride", I was looking specifically for that nice, splashy "CRASH" cymbal and this one delivers for that purpose. As usual, another winner with Musician's Friend....and at a great price!!!

Comments about Zildjian ZXT Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I got this cymbal simply because i was in dire need of a new crash. My parents went out looking just for something for me to have to hit and they came back with a used 16 inch, reluctant playing a used cymbal (used cymbals are usually beat to death already...) i threw it on and i was just about shocked playing with it. It's got a nice higher pitched tone for those who like a glassy cymbal, and it doesn't ring out for the fallowing hour. I've been playing it for a few months now and still, no breaks, tears, dents or shreds. This cymbal WILL outlast anything else for the price. (P.S. ... i hit really hard...)
