Overview

The Zildjian ZHT Hi-Hat Pair penetrates louder mixes with ease yet provides a broad range of tonal colors. The 10" size is extremely quick and offers a unique voice as a secondary hi-hat, recording hi-hat, or for low volume gigs.

For their ZHT series Zildjian chose Ultimate Sheet Bronze, an alloy with a higher tin content for enhanced low- and mid-frequencies. This extraordinarily musical metal is combined with ultra-modern manufacturing techniques and extensive hammering to create value-priced cymbals with sounds that are both modern and traditional.

Average hi hats

By The BIG BANG!

from Wigton PA

Comments about Zildjian ZHT Mastersound Hi-Hat Pair:

These aren't the best quality hihats in the world, but they were good up until recently the top cymbal just cracked on me. If you want professional sounding hi hats get some Zildjian A series hats.

Why spend more

By Henry

from Fairhope, alabama

Comments about Zildjian ZHT Mastersound Hi-Hat Pair:

Well once again in my life as a professional drummer I have found that spending more doesn't always equate with a better product! The ZHT 15" Mastersound hi hats provide enough clear "chick" and splashy tone to keep them in the ball park with some of the more expensive lines from Zildjian or any other manufacturer. Try these before you make a mistake that could cost you several hundreds dollars.

I would look elsewhere.....

By Winged Wheel Watcher

from Cincinnati, OH

Comments about Zildjian ZHT Mastersound Hi-Hat Pair:

I know this are mid-priced sheet metal cymbals. Considering that, I would say these are still below-average at best. I used them at a club where they were set up on a house drumkit. These hats are really bright sounding, and I mean REALLY bright! All the ZHT's are bright, but these were brittle sounding. Also, I played the 13's and for as bright as they were, they weren't very loud. I was amidst a wall of guitars amps and vocals, and I could hear the other cymbals (Paiste Signatures) no problem, but I could barely hear these hi-hats over the din of the band, even when I was banging solidly with them half-open. My advice would be to consider different hats. Heck, I even had a set of ZBT's I used to gig with (on my crappy "I don't care if it gets beat up" gigging kit) that sounded WAY better than these (no joke).

Best I've Ever Used

By MetalGuitarist14

from Murfreesboro, TN

Comments about Zildjian ZHT Mastersound Hi-Hat Pair:

These are the best hihats I have ever used by far. I used them when jamming with another band, and they sound amazing. They sound just as good if not better than Zildjian's much more expensive hihats.
