i've had this zht china for 2 years now, and while it has stood up through the years, and still looks like new, its not what a "china" should sound like. yeah it has a loud and penetrating sound to it, but it almost sounds like a really loud effects crash, to me, now i have a b8 pro mini china along with this. the sound acheived with this cymbal is far greater then the zht. the bottom line if you want a nice cymbal that will hold up well this one is a nice one to get, but sound wise, i suggest you get someelse like a b8 pro.

Good for jazzy type music

By DW

from GA

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

Well, I was disappointed in this cymbal because I bought it to play more metal and -core styled music. However this is more of a toned china you hear in jazz style music, or just on big kits for when your layering your crashes. Even though I was disappointed, its still a great value and a good cymbal, just be sure this is what you are looking for.

great soundness

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

This china cymbal has the most tone than any other china cymbal i have ever heard. If you want more trashyness instead of tone than try the zildjian oriental china

BOOYA!!!!

By Dethstorm Drummer

from portage, michigan

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

I got this cymbal yesterday and I love it so much. It's amazing for metal beats. The best part about it is, if you were to close your eyes and have someone play 10 different cymbals, you could easily tell this cymbal apart from the rest. My favorite cymbal I own!

Not bad at all

By Chris

from Carnation, WA

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

I've owned both the 16' and the 18' and both are fantastic china cymbals. they have a sort of trshy crash sound with an quick decay and blend very well with just about any other cymbal out there. be careful though because this cymbal isn't as durable as A-customs or Z-customs but if you need a china that innexpensive and has a good sound; grab a ZHT.

NO GOOD! STAY AWAY!

By BOBO_DRUMMER

from Kansas City

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

I have the 16" ZHT China cymbal and let me tell you, its really bad! There is no "trashy" sound to this cymbal. Its like a really load crash, but sounding. The main problem with it is the fact it decays VERY slow. To slow for a china. It does not have a fast sound at all. And it is way to loud. But, it will take a beating and it has a kind of dark tone to it, which some might like. I would stay away.
