I've always played Wuhan chinas but after reading some positive reviews on the ZHT i decided to give it a shot. A 16" Wuhan only lasts me a few months before a crack develops so i figured i'd spend more money and get something that lasts. I bought the 16" ZHT and put it on my kit right away.. And then took it off and put my broken Wuhan back on! The ZHT is pingy and rings waaaaaaay too long. I play hardcore/metalcore mostly and use the china for breakdowns more than just for an accent. So if you're looking for an effect cymbal for the same reasons, DO NOT waste your money on this. WUHAN is a much better sounding cymbal and muuuuuch cheaper.

This is a fine addition to any drum set. I like the accent and the looks. Either right side up or upside down the sound is remarkable and a must have to any cymbal collection. I highly recommend it.

      old ones

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

I got this cymbal a couple years back. That was before they made it better(I think?). I have at least 4 cracks and a huge piece of of it came off. If your looking for a cheap china that lasts don't buy thing one.

      Great Buy

      By Anonymous

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

I actually bought the 16 inch china slightly used from a friend, and i admit it was worth it even used. It sounds amazing, not too loud or soft, with the perfect china sound. It is a little bit pingy. i did make the mistake of tightening it down to much, so it didnt move, and created a warp where i hit it, and eventually cracked. but dont let that stop you, its well worth it!

      Good for jazzy type music

      By DW

      from GA

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

Well, I was disappointed in this cymbal because I bought it to play more metal and -core styled music. However this is more of a toned china you hear in jazz style music, or just on big kits for when your layering your crashes. Even though I was disappointed, its still a great value and a good cymbal, just be sure this is what you are looking for.

      Eh

      By JamesM

      from NV

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

This cymbal sounds fine, but it is not very sturdy(which seems to be a problem with Zildjian). It sounds great, but after a few weeks of play time it has some very obvious dents. It has not cracked, but I'm sure that will come soon. Overall, a fine cymbal if you're on a budget.

      great soundness

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

This china cymbal has the most tone than any other china cymbal i have ever heard. If you want more trashyness instead of tone than try the zildjian oriental china

      good, but...

      By Drummerman1

      from PGH

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

This cymbal does take a beating, but it is thin and it does crack. I've found that for every little chunk that flies off as i play it sounds better and better. Mine's missing a huge chunk out of one side and it still somehow has musical sound. It's not the quickest or trashiest china, but it does last, and its certainly worth the price. It blends well with my Z customs and A customs, so all in all its not a bad buy.

      its ok

      By theater92

      from bel air maryland

Comments about Zildjian ZHT China Cymbal:

i've had this zht china for 2 years now, and while it has stood up through the years, and still looks like new, its not what a "china" should sound like. yeah it has a loud and penetrating sound to it, but it almost sounds like a really loud effects crash, to me, now i have a b8 pro mini china along with this. the sound acheived with this cymbal is far greater then the zht. the bottom line if you want a nice cymbal that will hold up well this one is a nice one to get, but sound wise, i suggest you get someelse like a b8 pro.
