I got the Zildjian ZBT splash 5 years ago as an add-on to my kit. It is one of the best accessories I have added to my drumset. I love it. There are times when you just need that "splash" sound, and this is a great splash. It is very affordable and durable. It sounds great. I own the 10" and I use it all the time. Add this cymbal to your set, you won't regret it.

It has good sound for the price, but it is not so great quality and cracked within two months. I am not a hard hitter either. It looks nice and shiny though, and has a nice finish. I have had a little experience with some other splashes, (B8's, and some other higher quality splashes), and the B8's sound just as good and seem to have better quality. I would recommend a B8 before I would suggest this. Hope this helps.

Even for Pro drummers!

By Niko

from Elmwood Park Illinois

I know what your thinking a ZBT for pro drummers? well its true unlike the rest of the ZBT's this Splash has hardly no after vibration! the sound can cut through a loud drum set and guitar playing very well. and the best thing about this cymbal is the price! Fer sure the best cymbal of ZBT series. these cymbals are more for beginner drummers but when your thinking to upgrade your cymbals keep this one you wont regret it!

My First Splash

By Sam-a-Jam

from oakdale mn

when i went to guitar center with only $47 dollars to get a splash, I expected to only get something that wouldn't be very good; something i would trade up as soon as i got an acoustic kit to replace my electronic kit. I got the 10" and it is awesome. If there is too much overtone for you (like me) all it takes is a 1" piece of electrical tape on each side of the cymbal on the bottom about 1 inch in from the rim. I would reccomend this as a budget splash.

love it

By chase

from norwalk ,CT

i got this when i was a rock drummer and i kind of got into jazz playing with a jazz group. it has a nice light sound that has a nice ring that fades ok. ive played with the b8 and that, I feel has less of a jazz sound and more if you realy want to rock. I got it a while ago and still has that feel and shine to it. it has a cool affect to my drum set. i got the 10 inch and it has a small bell but that could be a good thing. hope it helps

great splash cymbal!!

By Alec

from Peachtree City, GA

I got the 10 inch cymbal for christmas this year and it really adds great sound to my set. Its contrast to the other cymbals just sounds great. If you are planning on adding a splash, consider this one. It sounds great!

Veeeeery flimsy...

By Bram

from Boston, MA

When I went to get this cymbal I was really excited. And at first, it had really great sound. but after about a week, it had been dented severely. I'll admit, I hit hard, but no cymbal should be ruined after a week. next time, I'll buy something like a Z3 or an A custom

Extraordinary Splash

By Alyssa

from Pembroke Pines, Florida

I love the Zildjian ZBT 8" Splash Cymbal!!!! When I first got the Splash Cymbal, I fell in love with it. It has great qualities! It's very cheap, it sounds incredible, and the cymbal can stay on your drum set for a couple of years. It's the perfect edition for my drum set!

This is a great splash. It goes good with most types of music. I have had mine for more than 5 years and it just started to crack. Great cymbol though.
