I have had this cymbal for around 2 years, and has yet to crack. It has a very bright sound that lasts a very long time. It is very powerful, and can cut through the mix. Although this cymbal is a crash/ride, it does not sound very good as a ride. I use it as a second crash, when I want some extra power in my songs. Overall is a very durable, and powerful cymbal, but should not be used as a ride.

Product is great. Service was not.

I use it as my right handed crash and the cymbal to be hit in procession with bridges of songs to give a more epic part of the song.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

The old drummer of my church left and took his cymbals and left some ZBTs. I use this as a ride not a crash except at outdoor events when I bring my own ride. Now in church, we do quite a bit of songs that I like to ride a crash lightly or go to town on this thing. I find myself coming back to this thing frequently during the set. It opens up so musically along with the keys and guitar. So if your looking for something, at an affordable price, that opens up super well during a chorus this is a great option. Now I'm not to fond of using this jamming by myself i liked an old zbt 20'' ride for that but i sold it.

    God-like Cymbal

    By Austin S.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

Ive had my 18" crash/ride for almost a year now, and it still sounds gorgeous. No dents or cracks. Just a few stick marks. I beat the living hell out of it too. I play in a screamo band and due to its versatility, it replaced 3 previous cymbals of mine. GET THIS CYMBAL! YOU WILL LOVE IT.

    Amazing ride

    By pat

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I bought this ride almost 7 years ago on my first drum kit, and it was probably the best thing to happen to me since being born. It doesn't really work as a ride, but as a crash it will cut through just about any guitar riff. I have jsut broke it almost in half in the past 3 weeks, and for my style of playing, that is 5 to six times the life of my other cymbals. I highly recommend this for any drummer with a budget and an appetite.... FOR DESTRUCTION!

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I got my ZBT a little under 5 years ago.. it finally cracked today. Has a great consistent sound. I love it a lot. So much I'm getting another one to replace it. Its a great beginner cymbal too for sure. You can whale on it and its tough and wont break. The sound is loud and powerful sound for the buck. This is the way to go.

    Legit

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I got the 18" cymbal a few months ago, and I hit it almost all the time when I play. Unlike my 14" ZBT crash, which is completely cracked to the dome, this cymbal has no dents in it at all. It sounds bright and crisp, and can be used at any part for any song.

    Great Cymbal

    By Brandon

    from El Paso, TX

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I've been playing drums for about three months now and I've had this cymbal since I started. I bought this cymbal, along with my drumset and 14' ZXT hi-hat, at a pawn shop so obviously the cymbal is older than three months. It is really dirty, but it has no dents or cracks. I hit extremely hard and this cymbal has yet to show signs of damage. The cymbal is very loud and has a bright sound to it as a crash. As a ride its really not that great, so I only use it as a crash. Has a moderately long decay and a great tone. Although this is my first cymbal, I have experimented with other cymbals and this by far beats all of the other cymbals easily.

    Great beginner cymbal

    By AAdrummer

    from Providence, RI

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I got this cymbal 3 years ago when i first started playing. It's still in almost perfect condition(it has marks) and i play pretty hard. The crash sound is very bright and personally i love it. The ride tho isn't very good. It rings far too long and to get the best sound possible(which isn't great) you need to put it on a rediculous angle. but overall a good cymbal.

    Loud is what they are.

    By IBangOnDrumsYo

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I am an intermediate 14 year old drummer, and this is my first crash/ride. I have had this for about 4 months now, and it is a very loud cymbal! I like it, but I don't love it. When I first got and it and played it, I thought it was the best thing ever! After awhile, it looses its touch to the sound. The bell has a very fat, loud sound, but has a slight ring. When you use it as a ride though, it gives a "TANG" sound to it. If you hit this cymbal soft, the sound isn't really good, but that's just me. This cymbal can take a beating, and I think is mainly for loud settings. Over all, Good, but not great.

    Great Crash/ Decent Ride

    By billy

    from Henderson, NV

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I've had this cymbol for a number of years and the only damage on it is some stick marks. It has a really bright, powerful sound when used as a crash, but as a ride there's not a whole lotta ping, which isn't neccesarily a bad thing, i just wouldn't reccomend it as your main ride. I have mine slightly tilted twords me about 16" above my ride and its useful for adding some extra flavor during a ride beat (going back and forth a few times every 2 measures or so) But yeah, i'd reccomend it if your looking for a good, solid cymbol for a reasonable price.
