I have had this cymbal for around 2 years, and has yet to crack. It has a very bright sound that lasts a very long time. It is very powerful, and can cut through the mix. Although this cymbal is a crash/ride, it does not sound very good as a ride. I use it as a second crash, when I want some extra power in my songs. Overall is a very durable, and powerful cymbal, but should not be used as a ride.

Most Liked Negative Review

Product is great. Service was not.

I use it as my right handed crash and the cymbal to be hit in procession with bridges of songs to give a more epic part of the song.

BEST CYMBAL EVER!!!!

By marinecorpsdrummerboy1

from Niantic, CT

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

This is my favorite cymbal in History! On my Jazz Kit I use this cymbal along with my 14" ZBT Hi - Hats and 18" Avedis Zildjian Suspended Cymbal(to use as my ride). This cymbal is OK for rock or Funky Rock, but this cymbal is perfect for any type of Jazz. Its high pitched MANHATTAN JAZZ CLUB RIDE sound fits perfect for the Jazz Genre. While packing the same amount of TNT and explosives as a Zildjian Z Custom Crash or a Paiste RUDE Crash/Ride when used as a Crash!!!!

Great Cymbal

By Brandon

from El Paso, TX

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I've been playing drums for about three months now and I've had this cymbal since I started. I bought this cymbal, along with my drumset and 14' ZXT hi-hat, at a pawn shop so obviously the cymbal is older than three months. It is really dirty, but it has no dents or cracks. I hit extremely hard and this cymbal has yet to show signs of damage. The cymbal is very loud and has a bright sound to it as a crash. As a ride its really not that great, so I only use it as a crash. Has a moderately long decay and a great tone. Although this is my first cymbal, I have experimented with other cymbals and this by far beats all of the other cymbals easily.

Decent cymbal

By mike

from Massachusetts

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I've owned this cymbal for about 8 months, but it is about 8 years old. It has a pretty good crash sound, it is very bright. Although, the ride sound is terrible. It has almost no "ping" to it, and it rings way too long. The bell is ok, but again, it rings way too long for a good sound. Overall, it is a decent value, but it is much better used as a regular crash than a crash/ride.

Good Deal For a Bright Sound

By Ilovezildjian

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I Have owned this cymbal for three years. It has not crack yet. It has only been dinged. It has a very powerful sound. It is very very very bright. Good for some metal, as long as you don't want dark sounds.

lasts forever

By Ben

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I got my ZBT a little under 5 years ago.. it finally cracked today. Has a great consistent sound. I love it a lot. So much I'm getting another one to replace it. Its a great beginner cymbal too for sure. You can whale on it and its tough and wont break. The sound is loud and powerful sound for the buck. This is the way to go.

Loud is what they are.

By IBangOnDrumsYo

from Glendale, Az.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I am an intermediate 14 year old drummer, and this is my first crash/ride. I have had this for about 4 months now, and it is a very loud cymbal! I like it, but I don't love it. When I first got and it and played it, I thought it was the best thing ever! After awhile, it looses its touch to the sound. The bell has a very fat, loud sound, but has a slight ring. When you use it as a ride though, it gives a "TANG" sound to it. If you hit this cymbal soft, the sound isn't really good, but that's just me. This cymbal can take a beating, and I think is mainly for loud settings. Over all, Good, but not great.

Great beginner cymbal

By AAdrummer

from Providence, RI

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I got this cymbal 3 years ago when i first started playing. It's still in almost perfect condition(it has marks) and i play pretty hard. The crash sound is very bright and personally i love it. The ride tho isn't very good. It rings far too long and to get the best sound possible(which isn't great) you need to put it on a rediculous angle. but overall a good cymbal.

Legit

By Josh

from North Tonawanda, NY

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I got the 18" cymbal a few months ago, and I hit it almost all the time when I play. Unlike my 14" ZBT crash, which is completely cracked to the dome, this cymbal has no dents in it at all. It sounds bright and crisp, and can be used at any part for any song.

Amazing ride

By pat

from Chicago, Illinois

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Crash Ride Cymbal:

I bought this ride almost 7 years ago on my first drum kit, and it was probably the best thing to happen to me since being born. It doesn't really work as a ride, but as a crash it will cut through just about any guitar riff. I have jsut broke it almost in half in the past 3 weeks, and for my style of playing, that is 5 to six times the life of my other cymbals. I highly recommend this for any drummer with a budget and an appetite.... FOR DESTRUCTION!
