This Zildjian ZBT 3 Cymbal Pack includes an 18" crash ride and a pair of 13" hi-hats plus a free 14" crash. Sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of ZBT cymbals magnify the basic sound of the distinctive ZBT alloy. ZBT Series Hi-Hats produce a sharp and focused sound with an excellent, bright chick sound. The ZBT crash ride cymbal produces a cutting ride sound with good crash qualities. The free 14" crash has a brilliant finish and provides easy playability-the perfect first crash cymbal.

The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the Zildjian ZBT series cymbals cut through the mix. The sheet origin and lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly when struck then decays rapidly. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent.

The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh and offers excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones.

Features
  • 18" crash ride
  • 13" hi-hats
  • Free 14" crash

This is the first cymbal pack I start with and I would suggest it for any new player. It gives you exactly what you need to start with without shelling out lots of money. The 14" crash is really good. Sounds great and you can wail on the thing. The high hats are ok. Good for starting out, but nothin special to them. The crash/ride sounds much better as a crash than it does a ride, but overall it's an average cymbal and is fairly versatile.

I've played Zildjian cymbals for over 30 years and they are still my favorites. But these entry level ZBT's are not worthy of the name. I had to play on them recently on the house set at a blues club, and I felt they sounded pretty bad. If you're just starting out, you can put some good heads on cheap drums and tweak the sound so that it is decent, but there is no way to improve the sound of a lousy cymbal. Try the Meinl or Wuhans in this price range. Or save up and get some real Zildjians.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT 3 Starter Bonus Cymbal Pack with Free 14" Crash:

I only wanted hints, a crash, and a crash-ride, so since I'm on a budget, this pack was the best one for me. Since these cymbals are lower end Zildjians, I expected them to have a low quality (most lower end cymbals sound like a trash can lid), but I was surprisingly pleased with the Zildjian ZBTs. The hi hats are crisp. The crash-ride is just what I was looking for. The 14" crash is a little to bright, but that may be because it's a 14" and I'm used to a 16". All three respond well and (if not overly hit), produce a decent sound that is far better than rest I was expecting. There is a distinct difference between these ZBTs and the A or K line, but for the price, these area great buy. If you're on a budget, these dill do you well. If money isn't too much of an issue, then the A or K line may be more up your alley. As for me, I've played the top of the line A, A Custom, and K, and find these ZBTs to be adequate. If you want decent quality that's budget friendly, then I think you will do well with these.

I've read complaints on other reviews of drummers saying these crack. Look, if you don't hit the cymbals with such force as to "kill" or "smash" it, they won't crack. If you hit these (or any other cymbals) with excessive (unnecessary) force, then any cymbal will crack. Bottom line: these are good quality cymbals at a very reasonable price. If you take care of them as you would any instrument you care about, they will continue to produce good quality sound for you.

I play drums (wow shocker) and I bought this pack thinking i could expand and get the whole ZBT line later. It was a waste of money. I play Sabian SBr cymbals and they are 3 years old, and I thrash on them. Nothing has chipped off of them. The ZBT hi hats are already developing cracks, after 9 months. Do not buy this pack, buy Sabian SBr's or Meinl HCS

Comments about Zildjian ZBT 3 Starter Bonus Cymbal Pack with Free 14" Crash:

These are definitely just starter cymbals. They are poor quality cymbals thus giving you poor sound. The crash ride is way more crashier to be used as a ride...I used it as a crash until replacing it with new cymbals. Don't get me wrong these are good cymbals for your first set while learning. However, the more experienced you get you will realize how poor sounding they are.

The Zildjian name is a great name in cymbals. Saw some reviews about these cymbals chipping or breaking but haven't had any problems so far. Good sound.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT 3 Starter Bonus Cymbal Pack with Free 14" Crash:

I bought the cymbals for my son who is a budding percussionist. He had a junior drum set and detroyed the cymals that came with the set. So I got him a regular size drum set and new cymbals for Christmas. I ordered them on line and they shipped the next day and arrived in a week. Probably would have arrived sooner but there were some Federal Holidays in the way. I am very happy with the quality and the sound of this Zildjian ZBT 3 Cymbal Pack. They feel extremely durable, the sound of the high hat is crisp and clean. The ride/crash has a nice ring to it. I am saving the crash cymbal to give to him for his birthday. For the money, you can't beat this starter set as it looks and sounds like top of the line quality.
