The Zildjian Thrash Ride

By Amos

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Thrash Ride:

Opon ordering the Thrash Ride, I expected it to be heavier/thicker than it really was, but it exceeded all of my expectations. It has a great crash sound and a bright ping with a sweet bell. It opens up perfectly and sings for about the perfect amount of time. I play hard rock and this cymbal does its job with a powerful crash/ride sound. It cuts through the mix and you don't have to hit it hard like other rock cymbals. Overall, I am pleased with the Thrash Ride. I wish Zildjian made a 20" or 21" model.

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Thrash Ride:

Im in a metal band, and i needed a good crash ride. I had 200 dollars and decided to try the thrash ride. The first time i played it i was blown away. It cuts through anything, no matter how loud, and it does it in a musical way. This cymbal is for shure one of my favorite cymbals, and it much better than just getting a crash ride

One Sweet Cymbal

By -Will B of 'Part Bear'

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Thrash Ride:

I've only had this ride for a little while, but it completely took me by surprise. It is kinda light-weight so that is something to keep in mind if that's not your thing. Initially, it has a high pitched ping to it and an explosive crash. You have to find that happy medium to get a deeper sound from it. It has a very exaggerated slope down to the edge, so the get that lower pitch, I would shoulder ride it an inch or so above the edge. Once you get familiar with the weight, this is one sweet cymbal. I use it as my primary ride in rick situations. Also if you like to crash on your ride during a chorus or along with another crash cymbal, this cymbal is right up your ally.
