18" Z Custom rock crash

By Amos

from Moweaqua, IL

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash:

I own an 18" Z Custom rock crash and use it for my main crash. I was told these crashes were fairly heavy and would not sound good. After playing on A Series rock crashes for a year, this crash sounded more like a medium crash than a rock crash. Don't get me wrong though it still has the qualities of a good rock crash. It's higher pitched, very powerful, and loud. It cuts though the mix with ease, but is not overpowering. I have received many compliments on my crash. Once you go Z, you don't go back. In my opinion, a great buy.

The reliable cymbal for the heavy hitter!

By Lasr69

from Denver, CO

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash:

These cymbals are awsome! I own the 16" and 18" and they rock. I have been playing them for a year and they have stood up to the constant heavy hitting. Very loud, they pierce right through the guitars without a problem. I would highly recommned these to anyone looking for a loud, reliable cymbal that can handle the pounding.

Z Custom Rock Crash

By losferwords

from Antioch, CA

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash:

I just bought the 16" and 18" Z Custom Rock crashes and all I can say is... Wow!!! I put them through their paces the other day with my band and they cut through the guitars like a hot knife through butter. The attack is clean and sharp, and there is a nice sizzle. They have a nice, even decay. Riding on the 18" gives a nice, sharp stick sound, and the bell makes for some great "dirge" accompaniment. Great heavy-hitter cymbals all around. Zildjian have done it again!!

Good Cymbal

By drummerboy5193

from Undisclosed

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash:

This is a great cymbal. I loved the 18" cymbal until it broke about a year after i got it. Now after about a year and a half it craked to the bell and missing the whole zildjina sign. But I hit really hard and I play about 5 hours a week. I also have the 17" and that is great.

Simply Wicked

By Shaggy

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash:

I bought an 18" and a 17" 9 months ago, and for once i have no complaints. I am quite a heavy hitter, and these cymabals take the beating in srtide, my 18" alone has over 100 hours of constant riding on it. On top of that they produce an amazing sound. BEST cymbals for Alternative music ever! A+ Zildjian!

Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash

By Mississippi Kid

from Gibsonburg, Oh.

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash:

I got a seventeen inch Z Custom rock crash to replace a sixteen inch ZXT medium crash. Wow, talk about a big difference. This has become a favorite for me. The rock crashes have a higher pitch and tone than the medium crashes and cut through everything else. These are absolutely great and well worth the money.

great metal sound

By Steve Edwards

from Illinois

Comments about Zildjian Z Custom Rock Crash:

i like these cymbals as i keep buying them they sound great for modern metal they are also somewhat versatile (i play rock metal blues & old punk) but i have a problem breaking these ive broke 9 of them since they started making the newer style i think its cause theyre so thick if you put it into physics a thick piece of metal if you bend it will break at a lesser bend than a thin piece thats what ive come up with and to make these cymbals really open up you gotta wack em good but i really love the sound they produce and they are moderately priced not too expensive to where your broke and getting overdraft fees after buying one.
