Comments about Zildjian Planet Z Z3 Pack:
I got these cymbals with my Ludwig drumset. I absolutly love the 13in hihats. They have a perfect closed sound and a really nice open sound as well. The cool thing is that the hihats are the same, so you can place the "bottom" hihat with the top once the top hihat gets banged up, and it'll still have the clear sound as it did with the "top" hihat ontop. Now, the crashride has it's ups and downs. It's great as a ride, but when you use it as a crash, the sound you get from it can be good or bad. The beginning of the strike has an excellent sound, but the decay is extremely horrible. If you're playing rock and hitting this crashride occasionally, the aftertone sound is extremely dull-sounding. This isn't too great for music that ends with a cymbal crash. Now, if you're into the metal genre, this cymbal is actually okay because you're constantly hitting it, therefore you constantly get the same bright sound that comes from the initial attack. Overall, the hihats are excellent, but there are better crash/ride cymbals than the Planet Z crashride.
