Overview

Maple wood provides a lightweight alternative to Hickory. Maple sticks produce dark tones on your instruments and offer a softer feel. Supplement your favorite stick with a maple version to give your playing a new, yet very familiar treatment.

Zildjian's Maple DIP models are treated with a double coating of their exclusive DIP grip. This provides a desirable backweighting to the stick that is particularly noticeable in the lightweight maple models. If you're looking for a stick that gives you the maxiumum grip to relax your hands and still be light enough to fly, Maple DIPs are for you.

I purchased these sticks to see if they really do give you a huge improvement on grip. Sure enough, it's actually difficult to drop these (even if you want to). The green dip creates an incredible non-slip surface that works so well, you'll get blisters if you don't loosen your grip! These sticks are made of maple, which makes them VERY light. This can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your preference. It also makes playing at home a little quieter, but it's not a huge decrease in volume, so you could still use these at a gig if you wanted. The only downside to these great sticks is that they are rather flimsy. They will break much faster than your average hickory drum stick. I've already gone through four pairs, and they were awesome (my favorite drum sticks so far), but I can't keep buying a pricey stick model if it's going to break on me twice as fast. But if the price isn't an issue for you, it might be a good idea to buy these in bulk. I will note that I purchased the Super 7A, and these are probably the least durable out of all the models. 5B would obviously last a bit longer. All in all, great set of drum sticks. The only reason they don't get a fifth star is because of the low durability.

I go these sticks and the first time I used them, within 30 seconds one of them broke. I wasn't playing hard or nothing i was just testing them out. These sticks wont last especially if your a rock drummer or any drummer that hits hard. They might be good for jazz or practice 9Practice pad).

They're thicker than normal 7A sticks, but they're just as light. So fast. Perfect wood tip for tasteful jazz / funk drumming with drier cymbals. Dope

Comments about Zildjian Maple Green DIP Drumsticks:

Loved the look. Gave it a try. about a total of 3 hours of playing later. Broken. I play rock music so wasn't the best choice for me. The 5b's lasted about 8 hours of playing but loved the look and how light they were

First, I like the color green, so these are very attractive sticks. The green is for grip when is a major feature of DIP sticks. They are very sturdy. I enjoy using them.

Love the dip end. Makes for great stick control. Unfortunately, maple just way too soft. Great stick for beginners and snare work only. Wouldn't recommend for anything above or beyond

Loved saving money with the in-store pickup feature. The guys in the store were so helpful when I picked up these drumsticks for my son (to play on every hard surface in our house), the drum guy helped me to find the perfect drumset for our home, and then helped me put it on layaway for Christmas.

Thought I'd give these a try to tame volume and be easy on my hands/wrists at practice. They didn't realy do either ... same volume as my 7A hickorys ... and no easier on the hands. Up side, they haven't broken after one solid 3-hr rehearsal.

Comments about Zildjian Maple Green DIP Drumsticks:

My favorite sticks to perform with because I'm a heavy hitter and I like the way these feel. Very lightweight, so they tend to not hold up as long as other sticks. Great for performing because the dip really helps to keep a good grip. I would recommend other sticks for practicing though because of how easy they are to break.
