These gloves are just what a drummer needs to get the job done. They prevent the blisters and hand cramps I used to receive. I sometimes used to cut my finger on my cymbals. That doesn't happen anymore.

First, Zildjian once again changed the design of their drumming gloves, so the gloves pictured above are NOT the ones you recieve unless they are an old pair. The old design left a black residue behind on your hands that is hard to wash off, and the new ones not only have the same problem, but they moved the right hand protective patches so they no longer line up with my thumb, which means I still get blisters playing. As others have noted, they also do not grip as much as other gloves on the market in the same price range. In fact, I would recommand buying the Ahead drumming gloves or even a pair of Easton batting gloves as they last about 3x longer and have better grip and comfort than these Zildjian gloves. I have contacted Zildjian about the residue issue and they basically told me to pound sand.

        Decent Gloves

        By

        from Vicksburg, MI

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

These gloves are decent for protecting your index fingers and your thumbs, that's it. I was expecting more of a grip to them (for gripping the drum sticks) but I was disappointing to find there was no grips to them. I put on the gloves and played 3 songs off of Metallica's Black Album, and after the third song I could feel my right middle finger start to burn. I took the gloves off and found a blister the size of pea about halfway up my middle finger. After putting a band-aid on the blister, I played the next song and I felt the same thing on my left hand's middle finger, I took the glove off and found the same thing. That's why I say they are good for protecting your index finger and your thumb only. I would recommend these gloves if your not much of a hard drummer (metal), or have tape on your drumsticks of you are a hard drummer.

Really nice product - only one flaw!

        By

        from Phoenix, AZ

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

Bottom line, they fit like a second skin, are not hot at all to wear but only drawback is lasting quality. I have been buying them for about five years now and they always seem to break down faster than I would expect. My only suggestion to Zildjian is to "beef up" the quality, otherwise its a great product! Just plan on buying a lot of replacement pairs if you love them like me.

Product serves its purpose above average.

        By

        from Johnstown, PA

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

I got these strictly because of the fact that I bought new cymbals not too long ago and want to keep these fingerprint free as much as possible between cleanings/polishings. The only problem with the gloves is the right hand glove's strap already broke and the other one is about to go. That hasn't kept me from having a good all around feel while playing so the product gets four stars.

        Awesome Gloves!

        By

        from Fresno, CA

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

These gloves were great! They are made out of leather and they keep a good grip. They prevent my drumsticks from flying away from me, also they prevent blisters. I had to play the song Wipe out from Surfaris for my school and these gloves helped by preventing me from getting blisters and my skin from peeling.

        not bad, but...

        By

        from Muncie, In

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

Pros: These gloves fit perfectly, and do just what they are supposed to do. The placement of the extra fabric is very good as well. Cons: Very little wrist support (could be a pro for some drummers). The gloves are thin, and the stitching is weak. I went through 2 pairs (in about 3 months/20gigs) before switching to the Ahead Gloves which I love! Bottom line, this is a cheap fix for those of us that don't like stick tape, and prefer a glove. But, there are better, sturdier gloves out there for just a little more green. Hobbyist, and casual drummers may find these gloves to be exactly what they need. As a touring musician, it didn't hold up to the demands of the road.

        No More Blisters!

        By

        from El Sobrante, CA.

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

Does exactly what they are supposed to. I play with a loose grip and now I don't throw the sticks. Playing for extended periods my hands are blister free. Great buy and very comfortable.

        Love these gloves

        By

        from Oklahoma City, OK

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

I have used these gloves for several years and they are great. I have a tendency to play loose, so my sticks occasionally go flying. These are also good for preventing blisters. Would recommend to anyone.

        First use but pretty good

        By

        from Maryland

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

Today was the first day I used these gloves and at the beginning I didn't like them. My sticks kept sliding forward, especially in my left hand. But by the end I was doing alright with them. And my hands didn't get sweaty like I thought they would. So these are alright for at least one use.

Great Gloves but bad inside fabric

        By

        from NY

        Comments about Zildjian Drummers' Gloves:

I got these gloves and they had an amazing grip. Its like they stuck to your hand. The only thing they could perfect is the inside fabric. When you take them off, all the black bits of fabric end up on your hand. Thats the only bad thing. But I have to admit they do prevent all the blisters I used to get.
