Trust it

By MIKE

from Largo Fl

I've had a couple of cymbal bags they rip,and you have to be Sooo careful laying it down and packing it. This case is perfect, it supplies felts to go in between each cymbal. Feel safe if knocked over or stepped on. Holds 6 cymbals. Love it

Long Lasting Durable Cymbal Case

By Brian Bair

from New York, NY

I am replacing my cymbal safe as the metal pole that hold the cymbals in place is loose and cannot be fixed. I purchased this cymbal safe in 1989. I can only hope my next one can survive almost 23 years of pretty heavy use. I got more than my money's worth from this case.

Zildjian Cymbal Safe Rocks. Case Closed.

By CHARLES ORR

from Corpus Christi, TX

I've wanted one of these for a long time but never could quite justify the price. It seemed that new drumheads, drum DVD's, cymbal polish and sticks always got higher priority and my old beat up soft cymbal bag was still "good enough." But now, with these priced at less than $70, I went ahead and took the plunge! I'd also been concerned by some reports that claimed they were no longer built to accommodate a 22" cymbal, which would be a problem for me. But I'm happy to say that my 22" Zildjian Ping Ride fits very comfortably with no problem at all. The only thing I am going to do is get a few yards of soft felt to make dividers to place between my cymbals for maximum protection. I like the fact that the cymbals are secured with a bolt through their centers that keeps them in safe relation to each other within the case. If you stop and think about the fact that you may have over a $1,000 invested in your cymbals, this cymbal case is money well-spent.

Great Investment

By Mike T

from Lincoln, NE

A lot of drummers have just as money tied up in cymbals at they do drums. This is a great way to transport your precious cymbals, and the stacking system in the case is a no-brainer. I can fit a total of 5 cymbals plus a set of high hats, and never had a problem with fit, or the case standing up. I don't have a 22" cymbal, and not sure if it would be a problem like other reviews, but it works super for what I have!!

Holds 22" ride but doesn't close or stand

By Joe

from Irvine, CA

I got this case because I was on a budget. I have a 22" Paiste Signature Power Ride that I wanted to protect. The ride fit fine but when I tried to close the case, only one side fit, pushing the other side of my ride down as I tightened it. IT DOESN'T CLOSE ALL THE WAY. Also, the case doesn't stand. You can set it down softly and it'll stay up but the slightest gust will make it come crashing down. I carried a ride, 3 crashes, 2 hi hats, and 2 splashes. I never kept it standing because I was too nervous. I always had to store it laying down. If you don't mind leaving it laying on the floor and more importantly, IF YOU DON'T OWN 22" CYMBALS, it's a great case. Just make sure you buy a thick felt washer to put under the securing screw so that your cymbals won't slide back and forth the rod causing keyholing.

Priceless protection for your valuable brass!

By Jeffrey Horton

from Orcas Island, WA

Years ago I used two of these Safes while playing professionally in a club band. Different club every week, 52 weeks a year for 4 years. The Safes never wore out, never broke down, and always protected my brass. Recently, I bought one again, HOPING that they hadn't gotten cheap and cruddy. I'm happy to say that my hopes were affirmed and this is the same great quality product I used years ago. ANY drummer that EVER needs to move cymbals should have one (or two) of these. Just think... one crack in one good quality cymbal and you're out $300+. You can get two of these for less than half that and they'll last forever.

Cymbal Safe

By Josh

from CT

I've had this item for over ten years now. It's never let me down and does a tremendous job of protecting my cymbals. My only complaint would be the internal nut can sometimes be difficult to loosen and eventually the seperating pads will wear out. Otherwise I highly recommend this item.
