I am very disappointed in this bag. I was very excited to get this bag as it was supposed to help alleviate some of the issues I ran into when transporting my cymbals. This was the case for maybe a few months. I wore it on my back with the backpack straps, I hung my stick bag from the hook. It was great. If it did that the full life of the bag (whatever that's supposed to be) I would be greatly appreciative of this. Instead, the straps became less and less useful, beginning to tear away, the hook started pulling and tearing right above that spot. Those were things I was willing to just forget about. Unfortunately, the last straw for me was when the bottom started ripping through. Now you can pretty much see my cymbals peeking through the bottom of the bag. This clearly is an issue when transporting. I carry a high hat clutch in the front accessories pocket, my 12" A Custom Hats and my 10" Hybrid K Splash in the front pocket, my 20" Hybrid K Ride, 19" Hybrid K Crash, 2 16" K Custom Fast Crashes and a 14" K Custom Fast Crash in the main compartment. I wouldn't consider this to be too much to carry in the bag but someone please tell me otherwise and I will immediately change my tune. Consistently, I simply play one or twice a week at church, occassionally going out on a week long mini tour (maybe 6 or 7 times a year). I imagine this bag should be able to hold up under these circumstances and it simply hasn't. Now, less than a year after getting this bag, I am forced to get something else in order to propoerly protect the cymbals I've invested so much in. I am probably done with soft bags/cases, more than likely giving a try to the new Zildjian Hard Shell Z case but again, highly disappointed in this bag. Not only would I not recommend this bag to a friend, I'd probably provide them the difference in price to NOT get this bag and take a few steps up to something more durable.

Great, great bag

By lukeduke

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

This bag is amazing. The backpack straps make throwing over your shoulders an easy transport. The dividers are thick enough and do a great job of preventing metal on metal contact. The seperate hi-hat section is a great fit, and the small pocket is great for spare felts and drum keys. Simply a GREAT product.

Didn't last

By Bruce

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

I thought this bag was going to be great. It was...for a while. I've had it less than 6 months and it is falling apart. I gig once a week so it really hasn't been abused. The first thing to go were the plastic/rubber bottom supports. They pulled away and tore from the bag. The next thing to go was the fabric near the handle. It started slowly pulling away and now it's just a big hole. I only carried a set of hats, a ride, 2 crashes and 2 splashes in it. So now I have a big hole at the top and one at the bottom. Guess it's time to get hard shell cases.

so many options!

By Gray

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

This bag is huge! the hi-hat pocket could definitely fit up to 15" hats and the pockets on the inside work great, I recently fit 2 splash's in with my hi-hats, 2 rides, 2 crashes, a tambourine, and Zildjian stick bag in the middle pockets, easily holding the 2 20" cymbals, also there is a clip of the front, I added another and now I just hook my double bass pedals on the outside of the bag, it's perfect! The handle is great for hanging, very durable, and the backpack like straps are amazing for freeing your hands to carry your other hardware with! Such an amazing product for the price!

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

A well made bag. Comes with several sleeves to keep cymbals separate. The ergonomic handle is very comfortable. The padded shoulder straps are nice as well, although I haven't had to transport my cymbals far enough to use them.

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

The Zildjan carrying case is GREAT!! I love the backpack style. It's both functional and stylish. You can carry more equipment with the Zildjan gig bag on your back. It also hold a lot of cymbals. The entire bag is durable and the bottom is thick and reinforced. It's a great buy!

    Great Bag for the Money

    By Timothy Evans

    from Washington DC

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

Great Zildjian cymbal bag and at a great price at GC -- these can easily go for twice as much elsewhere. The bag is very durable, with the reinforced bottom, and the internal dividers are a must-have that many companies skimp on. I have 3 of these and would highly recommend them!

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

This bag is awesome! There's plenty of room, and the dividers keep the cymbals from getting scratched. The backpack strap is a huge help for transportation, and the stickbag hook is great for keeping everything together. You can't go wrong!

      Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag

      By Garrett Lee a.k.a DrumAholic

      from Cincinnati,OH

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

This cymbal gig bag has been the best one I have bought so far. Holds up to 3-22" cymbals in the internal pocket and even has an external pocket that holds up to 15" cymbals. The best thing about this gig bag is the back pack straps on the back. If you get tired of carrying it the old fashion way then you can just throw it on your back like a back pack. This gig bag is perfect for the drummer who gigs a lot! This is also one of the less expensive gig bags. If you buy this product I'll gurantee you will be satisfied!

      By Hutch

      from cleveland, oh

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

This came free with a cymbal pack. It is not really useful, other than transporting the cymbals. It would be nice, if there were dividers included. I guess I will have to use the bags the cymbals came in. The cymbals are the important thing.

      Zildjian Cymbal Bag

      By SABINO LAGATTOLLA _

      from Hudson, MA

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

I'm on my second bag. I believe this is the best soft shell bag out there. The dividers are great. The additional pockets are great as well. I put ALOT of weight in this bag. I am notorious for destroying bags. I have one 20" Ride, two 20" crashes, two 18" crashes, one 18 inch china, one 16" china. Those are all in the main compartment. In the front compartment I have a set of 14" hats, 13" hats, 8", 10", and 12" splashes. I put Moon Gels, cymbal felts and a few other small things in the very front compartment. Add a Zildjian stick bag that I clipped on, and I'm asking alot of this bag. With that in mind, there has been expected wear and tare. I give this bag a 4.5 just because of the rips. However, these rips have not affected the bag to the point that it needs replacing. I'm sticking with this bag and will be getting another in about a year.

      Great Symbol Case

      By Robert Hinnant

      from Tarboro, NC

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

The Zildjian cymbal case is beyond what I expected. The backpack feature and the separated compartments are exactly what I wanted. I love the front zipper pockets for spare parts and it is easy to transport. I purchased the 5 drum case and the hardware case along with this cymbal case and this was an excellent add on. Very happy with everything. Thanks for a great product.

Comments about Zildjian Cymbal Gig Bag:

I play Paiste cymbals, but the Zildjian Gig Bag combined the five most important features I need in a cymbal bag and slapped together an economical solution with the right stuff.

        1. Cymbal dividers: The ideal way to avoid scratches that cause oxidation - No more towels or t-shirts in between cymbals.

        2. Re-enforced (water-proof) bottom: Cymbals are heavy and need extra support. The water-proof material is a plus against puddles.

        3. Outer hi-hat compartment: Alleviates the load in the main compartment - Perfect for small splash cymbals too.

        4. Outer Zipper pocket: Convenient to carry hi-hat clutch and other stuff.

        5. Back-pack straps: Not required, but it frees your hands to carry other drums. The rubber coated handle is ergonomically nice too.
