Overview

These Zildjian drumsticks are a consistent favorite for its medium sized dimensions and teardrop bead. Developed in conjunction with noted vibration authority, Sims Vibration Laboratory, Zildjian Anti-Vibe Drumsticks contain a patented feature that effectively reduces key vibrations. By reducing the amount of vibration present in the struck stick, the Anti-Vibe drumstick is easier to play and more comfortable for many players, than standard sticks. The stick maintains it's conventional lacquer finish and appearance, while the vibration absorption technology is contained out of the way, inside the butt-end of the stick.

Anti-Vibe drumsticks are also great for use on rubber electronic drum pads and practice pads due to the vibration caused by these impact surfaces. the stick feels like you are hitting its sweet spot on every stroke.

Being recently diagnosed with CTS I am a sad camper. I decided to try these sticks out and have seen about a 25% IMPROVEMENT of not getting numb during shows or afterwards. The rest has to do with technique, bracing myself, and warming up.

Unfortunately when they break, they break. At $10+ a pair that gets expensive and usually I can only get 2-3 gigs out of them before they are toast. I often add electrical tape around the stick or grab some stick wrap for extra protection and shock absorption. It takes time to get used to the hardened exterior and the light weight of the core but after awhile it becomes second nature. Do I like the feel as good as standard 5A hickory? No. But I do what I have to, to help with my condition.

Take care of your hands!! I can't stress this enough! Warm up, use proper stick technique, and take adequate breaks! Drink enough water to hydrate your body! If you are having issues, remember to take Ibuprofen before AND after shows or practices. 800mg. And ice AFTER, not BEFORE you play. This will allow your muscles and nerves to properly heal and rest. Happy drumming!

BEST REVIEW HERE: These drumsticks are made with a hollowed out butt with a rubber bead-like strand inside it about 1.5 inches long. The only reason that i know this is because they fell out within the first day. At first i thought these drumsticks would be amazing and ended up buying about 7 pairs.. I play on an electric kit (even less vibration than an acoustic kit) and they do reduce vibration alot but once the rubber bead strand fell out, the vibration of the stick was 10 times worse than a regular drumstick. The rubber fell out of every single drumstick that i had; making them worthless. You can try shoving them back into the butt but they just fall back out almost immediately. It's very noticeable when the rubber falls out also, it gives the stick the sound of a cracked drumstick and you can also feel it. Playing with the drumsticks without the rubber in it is just terrible, I have all 7 pairs where the rubber came out from playing and these are absolutely the worst drumsticks i have ever purchased.

      Comments about Zildjian Anti-Vibe Drumsticks:

I bought these for practice at home on my practice pad. After noticing how much shock gets absorbed in my hands and wrists from using my regular sticks on the hard surface of the pad, I considered getting some Ahead sticks for shock absorption but they're pretty pricey. An employee at my local GC introduced me to the Anti-Vibe sticks which are a much cheaper alternative and I was pretty impressed at the concept so I decided to give them a try. These drastically reduce the amount of vibration on your hands when striking a surface; you hardly feel it. I would definitely recommend these to anyone playing an electronic set or using practice pads at home.

I can only vouch for its performance on my e-kit (I use different pairs for my acoustic. It's a must have for e-kit users to relieve wrists shocks while hitting those rubber triggers (or plastic for others). I recommend the product but contact GC for your orders if you need them in a timely manner. Don't rely on their website's availability.

            Great Electronic Kit Sticks

            Comments about Zildjian Anti-Vibe Drumsticks:

These are great for an electronic kit! I use the 5A wood tips on Roland mesh heads, and they take out a lot of shock, especially from the electronic cymbals. They have held up great, even through a lot of hard playing and hitting. You wont be disappointed. I love em.

              Comments about Zildjian Anti-Vibe Drumsticks:

These sticks reduce shock and vibration considerably. I play on a Roland TD-30kv about 70% of the time and I find the mesh pads have more shock and vibration than the acoustic set... so much so that the vibration was really irritating my fingers. These sticks seem to turn the trick and let me play without having to consciously avoid hitting hard. I would recommend these to anyone looking to reduce vibration and I'll be using these from now on. I don't notice any less rebound versus rugula Vic-firth 5Bs, and breakage is a non-issue on an e-kit.

At first thought it was a gimmick. I bought a rubber pad drumset and noticed I got fatigued easily and wondered about extra vibration from it. Once I got these I noticed the that it fixed the issue. Zildjian always made a quality stick and this is another example of that. I plan on making this my regular pair of electric set sticks. Would highly recommend.

                      Comments about Zildjian Anti-Vibe Drumsticks:

When I first saw these I thought they were a gimick, but they very clearly reduce vibration. This is good on electronic kits or practice pads as it take some of the "jar" out of the strike. It also helps keep your chops up when used on a E-kit, and going between that an an acoustic kit(after you've played an E-kit for a while, acoustic drums feel like they absorb the blows. The sticks are also give some relief to flare-ups of carpel tunnel syndrome.

They are pretty much the diametric opposite of the Ahead aluminum sticks, which are very jarring. If the Aheads are like an aluminum baseball bat, and standard wood sticks are like a wooden baseball bat, these would be like a wooden baseball bat with a rubber insert in it (the most jarring to the least jarring).

I was surprised to read the review that indicated the rubber inserts fell out. I've never had that happen, and wonder if it was a bad run. If this happens, I suspect that the inserts can be put back in with Gorilla Glue or Barge cement.
