I got this cymbal about 4 years ago.(16 inch) I loved it since the first time I hit it. I also have 2 Z Customs cymbals which are really good for rock and metal, but this cymbal is proably my favorite out of the 8 cymbals that I have. When I don't feel like beating my Z Customs,I go to this cymbal. It is perfect for loud music and more alternative. It's not to overpowering, but not to soft. Witha warm sound to it. Like I said I've had this cymbal for about 4 years and it doesn't have one crack in it. The value is a great price!! And you could use it for any style of music. My favorite cymbal I've hit is this one!! I definatley recommened this cymbal!!!! You won't be dissapointed.

This cymbal looks and sounds great, but loses it's quality after time. In a year or so of using it it gets dirty (obviously) but it loses its quality sound, and inherits a really gritty, trashy sound that makes a terrible ringing sound, and is very annoying.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I was told by another drummer that I admire that this is the one cymbal every drummer should have.... and he was right. It's bright, shimmery and versatile. Perfect for what I need!

I'm a former drummer who didn't play for a long time and just picked up the sticks again about 15 months ago, and have been on a long search to find the perfect crash cymbal. In my humble opinion, this... is.... it!

      Great cymbal!

Very versatile crashes, especially for the money!

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I used to own an 18" ZHT Medium Thin crash, and I was thinking "new crash will be the 18" K Dark Med. Thin crash," but then I heard this! I heard the 18" version of this crash and I thought, this sounds awesome, the one I bought is a bit on the thinner side so it's a bit washy-er and a tad darker as well, and at the time, I was rocking a 3 cymbal set up(crash, ride, hi hats,) so as a primary crash, it works fantastically! This cymbal is normally on the brighter side, because it's an Avedis cymbal, but since it's medium thin, if you try out a few, you can sort of weed out the ones that are either too bright or too dark for your taste, and find the perfect one for that matches the sound you want... And plus the sizes for these go up to 20" so try other sizes too! When I recently branched out to a 4 cymbal set up(adding another crash,) I went and bought the 17" version, and after trying a few out that they had at the store, I found the perfect extra crash to go with the 18" one I had! Overall, amazing crash(es) for the money in my experience!

      Great cymbal!.......BUT...

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I've had this cymbal for 4 years now and I loved it ever since the day I got it, but the thing is today I've noticed 2 small cracks in the middle of the cymbal and I would expect a height quality cymbal to last longer. BUT! It still sounds great I'm just scared if next time will be that last time I hit it so now it has me scared... OVERALL I LOVE THIS CYMBAL, I've played many gigs with this cymbal and got a 100% satisfaction with it Ps: I've cleaned this cymbal ALOT and each time you clean your cymbals, metal gets tookin off of it ( this is the BLACK RESIDUE that is on your towel) so just take a clean towel and wipe off the finger prints, you will save money

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

Zildjian is, without question, the absolute best cymbal company to date, and this is just another example of what tthey can do. I own an 18" and it has a deep, slightly bright, shimmer to it. Sounds great and isn't ungodly expensive, get it if you want great sound without spending your life savings.

Avedis Zildjian is a timeless, beautiful piece of metal

      By Anthony Rodebaugh

      from Lansing, MI

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I've played and owned several of Zildjian's lines, owned Paiste, played SABIAN...Each time I go away from the Avedis, I come right back. The wealth of tonal colors, undertones, overtones, and warmth these cymbals provide are, in my opinion, the most applicable to any field of music. I've used them for many recording and live applications, and they have never failed me. I own a 17" medium thin crash, 22" medium ride, 16" china low, 14" new beat hats, 8" & 10" splashes. Looking for a 19" to complete my set. Bottom line, it doesn't get any better for my money. Also, the older they get, the warmer they sound. Age = beauty in cymbals. If you haven't tried them, check out the Avedis line. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

      I had to find out

      By Chip

      from Delaware

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I went out to see a band I heard about the other night. The drummer, held his own for the music they we're playing, but this one cymbal cought my attention every time hit it. It sounded great! Hard, soft, quick choke, It didn't matter what he played on it, it cut through the room and cought my ear. It fit the classic rock format they were playing and made me want to know what kind of cymbal he was hitting. This was it 17in. med thin, Zildjian A series. I'm on here looking at prices right now because it is a must have add on, to the seven other cymbals I'm playing with now. In fact I may replace one, of the other ones, with it.
