I got this cymbal about 4 years ago.(16 inch) I loved it since the first time I hit it. I also have 2 Z Customs cymbals which are really good for rock and metal, but this cymbal is proably my favorite out of the 8 cymbals that I have. When I don't feel like beating my Z Customs,I go to this cymbal. It is perfect for loud music and more alternative. It's not to overpowering, but not to soft. Witha warm sound to it. Like I said I've had this cymbal for about 4 years and it doesn't have one crack in it. The value is a great price!! And you could use it for any style of music. My favorite cymbal I've hit is this one!! I definatley recommened this cymbal!!!! You won't be dissapointed.

Amazing Cymbal and budget friendly

By Josh

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is absolutely amazing! I own a 17ۡݕ_, and I recommend it for anyone looking for a bright, and loud cymbal with a killer sustain. I hit this cymbal once, go on a huge roll, and when I come back to hit it at the end of the roll itۡs still ringing from the original hit. Itۡs extremely loud and it fills up any room that you need it to. GET THIS CYMBAL!!!

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

This Crash is great for a nice long-sounding cymbal. It has a nice warm sound to it and rings out for a good amount of time. I own the 17" and have had it for about a year now. I have only got Complements on how Great they sound live and on recordings. I would reccomend this cymbal to any drummer!!

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I've been playing drums for about 5 years now and zildjian has never failed to hit a note with me. These awsome "A zildjian" meduim thin crashes have been no exception. i own a 16 inch and a 17 inch. They are more on the dark side with just the right amount of sustain, a glassy attack and realy nice shimmer that complement it's punchiness. There full of tonal color to complement any style of music, though i would recommend them for orleans jazz, classic rock or anything on the faster side. These cymbals tend to have a very complex feel and sound great ontop of a deeper more resonent drumset. I got a great deal on a used 16 inch and a new 17 inch. Originally there around 170 dollars, extremely cheap for what these beauties are worth. If your a little tight on cash but want cymbals with amazing value be sure to check these out!

great sounding crash

By drummerman4321

from Oxford, OH

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

This crash is great, it mixes perfectly with my avedis 16" fast crash. It has a quick reaction to the hit and nice mellow decay. I use it for a crash, ride, just about anything sometimes. I just bought this yesterday and i love it already. I play many styles of music and this cymbal can match any style.

A series medium thin crash

By joey

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

this crash is an awesome crash that i use in my band all the time. i mean this cymbal kicks. it can thrash, crash and still sound awesome. This cymbal would not be a good starter cymbal. you should wait to get this bad boy. works great with double bass grooves and beats. i love this cymbal not because of the brand or how it looks. i like it because it purely sounds great.

great cymbal

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I have the 19" and it is a really LOUD cymbal. It sounds exactly what a good cymbal should sound like. It's warm and full of sustain. It's not too high-pitched or too low in tone. It's great for rock.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

As an experienced young drummer I play out a lot with multiple bands, and I was in dire need of a solid cymbal perfect for ALL types of music. Found this one day and the minute I heard it's silky smooth warm tone, I knew this was the one. Hoping to eventually get an 18" to match my current 16"! If you are a drummer of many trades looking for a satisfying, versatile, and beautiful all around crash, this is your Cymbal!!!!!

I was told by another drummer that I admire that this is the one cymbal every drummer should have.... and he was right. It's bright, shimmery and versatile. Perfect for what I need!

I'm a former drummer who didn't play for a long time and just picked up the sticks again about 15 months ago, and have been on a long search to find the perfect crash cymbal. In my humble opinion, this... is.... it!

        Great cymbal!

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I used to own an 18" ZHT Medium Thin crash, and I was thinking "new crash will be the 18" K Dark Med. Thin crash," but then I heard this! I heard the 18" version of this crash and I thought, this sounds awesome, the one I bought is a bit on the thinner side so it's a bit washy-er and a tad darker as well, and at the time, I was rocking a 3 cymbal set up(crash, ride, hi hats,) so as a primary crash, it works fantastically! This cymbal is normally on the brighter side, because it's an Avedis cymbal, but since it's medium thin, if you try out a few, you can sort of weed out the ones that are either too bright or too dark for your taste, and find the perfect one for that matches the sound you want... And plus the sizes for these go up to 20" so try other sizes too! When I recently branched out to a 4 cymbal set up(adding another crash,) I went and bought the 17" version, and after trying a few out that they had at the store, I found the perfect extra crash to go with the 18" one I had! Overall, amazing crash(es) for the money in my experience!

I own a 16 and a 17 inch version of this cymbal and I would not trade them for crashes that are worth twice as much. These cymbals have a great dynamic rance and musicality. The value for the price is amazing.

        Great all-around crash

        By zimbop

        from Southwest

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I have two Avedis Medium-Thin crashes in 16 and 18. They have a wide tonal range in the lower region. They have less highs than my paiste signatures, so I find them nice for situations where you don't want that shrill quality, rather a wide ranged musical tonality. Plenty of punch for louder players yet subtle enough for quieter playing as well. One great thing about the 18 is that it has a spectacular bell--better than my ride cymbal (Avedis Ping Ride). When I need a nice full-bodied clear and cutting bell sound I go for this 18 medium thin crash. The 16 and 18 that I have are nicely matched for each other. My favorite accent for these two is the Avedis 10" Splash. These are a great option for the softer to medium loud player, but still have enough power to please the heavy hitters.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I went out to see a band I heard about the other night. The drummer, held his own for the music they we're playing, but this one cymbal cought my attention every time hit it. It sounded great! Hard, soft, quick choke, It didn't matter what he played on it, it cut through the room and cought my ear. It fit the classic rock format they were playing and made me want to know what kind of cymbal he was hitting. This was it 17in. med thin, Zildjian A series. I'm on here looking at prices right now because it is a must have add on, to the seven other cymbals I'm playing with now. In fact I may replace one, of the other ones, with it.

Avedis Zildjian is a timeless, beautiful piece of metal

        By Anthony Rodebaugh

        from Lansing, MI

Comments about Zildjian A Series Medium-Thin Crash Cymbal:

I've played and owned several of Zildjian's lines, owned Paiste, played SABIAN...Each time I go away from the Avedis, I come right back. The wealth of tonal colors, undertones, overtones, and warmth these cymbals provide are, in my opinion, the most applicable to any field of music. I've used them for many recording and live applications, and they have never failed me. I own a 17" medium thin crash, 22" medium ride, 16" china low, 14" new beat hats, 8" & 10" splashes. Looking for a 19" to complete my set. Bottom line, it doesn't get any better for my money. Also, the older they get, the warmer they sound. Age = beauty in cymbals. If you haven't tried them, check out the Avedis line. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
